Ashes to Ashes Part 1

Crevan looked at his watch, 11:45. Good, he had plenty of time to get to the office. He glanced arround the empty apartment, as he had cleaned it out earlier since he wouldn't be coming back. A large camping backpack full of enough food, water, and other necessities to last him at least a week. He grabbed his phone and picked up the backpack as he flicked out the lights. Exiting the apartment, he called the police.

"Yes, hello?" a lady on the other end of the line snapped.

"I'm calling to warn you, i have a hint that a worker from one world industry will be seizing a peice of software." Crevan said in a snarl.

"We will take this into account," the lady said and hung up.

He walked out to the door, good, everything was going according to plan. He droped his keys and his last rent payment by the office on his way out of the double doors leading out to the now empty city streets.

Later, at the office...

"11:59, where is he?" Ashley said nervously. "He can't be late."

Just then, she heard footsteps ringing in the tiled hallway outside the office. She ighed in relief, and kept packing her bag.

It wasn't untill the closed door flew off its hinges and police in full uniform burst into the office. They rushed her and had her on the ground in an instant. She strugled, but couldn't shrug them off. Then, another man stepped into the room. By now, She had been handcuffed and they had let her up. Crevan stepped into the room, his saphire blue eyes hard and cold.

"I see you got her with no trouble?" He asked, his voice had a hint of flint in it.

"You!" Ashley yelled.

"Yes," Crevan said, "me."

"You bastard." she snarled.

"Hm. Take her away boys, she's all yours."

The police nodded and drug Ashley away. Crevan listened until their footsteps faded into nothing. Whaen they were gone, he walked over to Ashley's desk. Picking up the software disk, he slid it into a pocket on the inside of his jacket. He smirked and picked up Ashley's bag, flicked off the light, and began to make his way down to the county prison.
