Dear Amanda,
So I kind of have this problem. My mom just got a new job and now we need to move to Alabama. And that is a big problem.
I grew up in the little town of Leona Wisconsin. I am 15 years old and afraid to move away from all of my friends. Especially one. His name is Johansson. We have been best friends since we were babies. Our parents were friends for a while before then.
And to make matters worse, I haven't told him yet. I just don't know how. Do you think you could help me?
                              Sincerely,
                                        The mover.

I put my laptop back on my desk. It was half past five and I could smell my mother's famous chicken breasts with hash- Browns wafting through the crack in the bottom of my door. I was an only child and it had been me and my mother by ourselves since I was 8 when my father walked out on us. I haven't heard from him since.
I decided to get up and finish packing up the things on my tall oak bookshelf my mother got for my 13th birthday. I had always been a big reader. I grabbed my 2nd box that was half full of books and slid it across the soft beige carpet. They were only small boxes so I could actually lift them to put them with the pile of boxes in the living room. We are moving in less than a week and I have yet to tell Johansson, my best friend. I hadn't known how.
I picked up my autographed copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Just as I was going to put it in my box I heard a shriek and some swearing come from the kitchen.
