Life doesn't have an autopilot mode nor it can be controlled in anyway, it falls somewhere between these two conditions and that's why it's called life. It's not always that the right thing you do turns out to be right because you aren't controlling it.
It's like a water current, flowing and you are surfing on it, you control your surfboard but not the stream of water, that's the simple answer to the question, how life works?
You can control your surfboard but not the flow of water. The only thing between the current; which is life and you is the surfboard, through which you are linked. If you control your surfboard right, you are surfing quite smooth until the current get disturbed, which is a natural thing but if you aren't controlling your surfboard carefully then you are obviously in trouble. It's all about controlling the surfboard you are on and let life flow.
One should choose the right surfboard because surfing ain't easy.
