"April? April wake up!" April, a young girl at the age of 17, was suddenly awoken to her 9 year old brother jumping on her bed, acasionally landing on her legs and chest as he did so.
"Ugh, what do you want, Jason?" April replied angrily.
"Don't tell me you forgot already, today is my birthday, remember?"
"Oh yeah, how could I forget?"d
April jumped out of bed, grabbed her clothes and raced to the bathroom to get changed.
By the time she made it downstairs, Jason had already made breakfast, finished it and placed it untidily next to the sink. April smiled as she knew that was one less job she had to do today. April made some serial and sat down to eat it while Jason sat, eagerly in his seat.
"Come on April, let's go wake mom and dad up!" Jason cried eagerly.
April checked the time,. 6:30 AM.
"If you haven't woken them up by making that ruckus already then sure, why not?" April replied. Soon she was chasing Jason up the stairs and into their parent's room.
"Mommy, Daddy, wake up now!"
Slowly but surely, Mr and Mrs Linkenton work up and went downstairs to get out Jason's presents.
After 40 minutes of opening presents and dumping birthday money out of cards, April could finally sit down and watch some anime on the TV. Jason spent most of the day playing with his presents while their parents stayed in the living room and occasionally checked on Jason. Finally 9pm came and it was time to go out for dinner.
