Katelyn POV

We just got back from the resort, it was a great summer yes, but getting friend zoned? Huh, not that good after all. But hey, I think it's for the best I guess. Nicole and Y/n has been helping me with it, which is really kind of them to do.

Well, they are one of my closest friends after all.

But now I just realized, is Y/n have been the one I've been want to get a relationship with? I know I've been hanging out with Travis alot, but a girl can change her mind about someone right? Y/n is my childhood friend, they have been through my side my whole life.

"I shouldn't have done that!" I said, wiping my tears with a tissue Y/n handed to me.

"Well, if you want to get back with him that badly, why won't you? Just say it's all have been a misunderstanding." Y/n said, getting the tissue box again and handing another one to me.

"It's not that easy! It's too late, he's dating someone now." I said and blew my nose, putting it on Y/n's lap. They rolled their eyes and threw it at the trash bin.

"It's just another challenge in life, Katelyn. Remember that life is just doing this because Jeffrey is not the right one for you. I bet the right one will come soon." Y/n said with a smile and rubbed my back.

I smiled back at them and thanked them for coming over just for this small thing I could handle myself.

"I can't do this!" I exclaimed, while Y/n is beside me trying to calm me down.

"Now, now, Katelyn. I bet you're the only one saying that." Y/n said.

"And how do you know?" I asked.

"Because everyone here in this play believes that you can do it, no matter how hard it is. C'mon Katelyn! You're one of the toughest in the group, you can go through anything this damn world throws at you!" Y/n said with confidence.

"You know what? You're right. I can go through anything! ... THE PLAY IS ABOUT TO START, BYE Y/N!" I said and quickly ran.

I was reading, trying to focus as hard as I can when I snapped. I closed the book and threw it at Y/n's face, as they fall on the ground, getting some 'shh' from people around the library. They grabbed into the table, they knelt and looked at me with a confused face.

"Why in the name of Irene would you do that, Katelyn!" They whisperly shouted.

"There's just too much pressure and I just have to do that, okay!?" I replied, trying to be quiet as possible. I suddenly saw the bruise on their face and I instantly felt regret wash over me.

"You don't have to hit me for it!" They said.

I groaned and bang my head on the table. Y/n sighed and gently placed their hand on my shoulder.

"You still have three days until you take the exam, Katelyn. That's enough days for you to study and pass the exam! C'mon, I know you can do it." Y/n said.

I looked at them and nodded, a faint blush dusted on my face.

"I'll treat you to Starbucks later." They said and I suddenly felt my mood lighten up.

"DEAL!" I exclaimed and then I'm the one who got shushed by the people in the library. They chuckled and I got back to studying.

I was sitting on a chair with Nicole and Y/n comforting me. Nicole then said she needs to take care of something very important so she left. It's now me and Y/n.

"Nicole's right, Katelyn. Not all problems can be solved with anger." Y/n said and I sniffed, nodding in agreement.

"I know- I.. Sigh, I'll try to talk to Travis tomorrow. Don't worry." I said and they smiled.
