                      Chapter 4
I was in a good mood when I woke up. Kim had already messaged me: Hey honey, can't wait for this afternoon. I have it planned out. Brooklyn is gonna love it! We're gonna hit a café right after school get some warm drinks, then head to an orchard and pick apples, hayrides, pick out some pumpkins, carve said pumpkins (if we have enough time), head out for dinner, and then there's a showing of Hocus Pocus around 8:30 tonight at the theater.
Kim loved planning stuff, especially when it came to Brooke. Brooklyn and I finished our morning routine how we normally would. Brooklyn wanted to pick out her outfit, I was kinda concerned that it would come out horrible but it didn't. She actually looked adorable, she was wearing an off white cable knit sweater, printed leggings, and boots. "did I do good Alex? Did I did I?!" She was jumping up and down extremely excited. "Yes honey, you look great." She was very proud of herself, I opted for something not as warm: black skater dress, maroon flannel print scarf, cropped brown leather jacket, and some light brown booties.
School was a breeze, easy homework and boring lessons. Carter gave me his number, just in a friendly manner though. Not like it meant anything, some of Aaron's friends had done the same so it wasn't a big deal right? Right? What is going on with me? I don't even want to think about it. Aaron was amazing, smart, funny, extremely respectful, not to mention good looking. He supported me and that was very important to me. But Carter was different, he was caring, witty, mysterious, and sarcastic. I try to dismiss the thoughts in my head and start to take notes for my last hour German class. It was a fairly difficult class but I loved learning German. All to soon the bell rang and I gathered my things off of my desk. The hallways were hectic as always, rather than having two straight lines one going down the hall the other going up we had complete chaos. Everyone pushing towards the way they were going no serenity. It was extremely loud, people screaming and laughing. I thought I heard the distant sound of crying but who knows.
I made my way to my locker and grabbed my light blue/green backpack. I don't know how it was still in good condition; it has had several pounds of weight shoved in to it. But still in pretty decent condition.
After picking up Kim and Brooklyn we headed to a quaint café called the Golden Cup. All of us ordered an apple cider. It was absolutely to die for.
"Kimmy, what are we doing next? Huh? Cause I heard that there are movies playing somewhere. And I also heard that we should do pumpkins!"
Kim smiled and replied "I don't know Brookie I guess you'll just have to wait and see. Patience little one."
    "Alex what does patience mean?"
She had a hard time pronouncing the word but over all did well for someone her age.
"It's being able to wait for things without getting upset Brooke."
The next few hours went by quickly, we picked out pumpkins, picked apples, went and ate dinner, and we were now on our way to watch Hocus Pocus. Kim decided we would use her dads truck and put blankets and pillows in it to lie down on while watching the movie. Suddenly I got a text from Carter
Hey good lookin' are you gonna be at the movie tonight?
That was a friendly thing right? Didn't mean anything. Surely it was a joke. I quickly replied
Yeah Brooklyn, Kim, and I are going to watch it together. You could watch with us if you would like. We're gonna use Kim's fathers truck to lie down in, lots of pillows and blankets. It's gonna be awesome.
   He replied instantly
Yeah definitely I'll meet you guys up there!
I told Kim the change of plans and we drove to the school in a comfortable silence.

I hope you guys liked the chapter, I know it was kinda short but I didn't have much time. Don't be a silent reader. I could use the feedback.
XOXO
