Isn't Kell swoon worthy...? 😍😍😍 I can definitely see him as Travis Fimmel.

And now, we begin... Or is it continue...?

~*~*~*~

His plan was insane! Erin was convinced beyond doubt that Kell had lost a few of his brain cells. His exact words were," Erol holds an annual, shall we say ball, where he invites the elite in society. When I tapped into his system I was able to add our new names to his guest list."

"You invited ourselves to his party?" Her voice was almost choking when she spoke.

He leaned back in his chair, violet eyes glinting with untold danger. It was so obvious to Erin that the only delight he found was in near impossible missions. "Absolutely. Once we're in, one sneaks into his office while the other serves as distraction. Once the particular disc is in hand, we hightail outta there." He lifted his shoulders lifted in a shrug. "It's easy enough. We should be done in in less than thirty minutes."

"What happens when we get the the disc?"she asked, already getting in the flow.

Another light shrug. "We rectify what went wrong in the first place. Normally, an assassin is ordered taken out if he missed a target or betrays The Conclave. If it's a missed target, you finish the job. If you're a traitor... well, that's a different story. Since it's you they are they're after, once you're safe I'm off the hook."

An uneasy quietness settled on her. This all sounded too simple... too good to be true..." Are you sure that they'd let me go? Because I'm innocent of all the scenarios you just listed." She watched him watch her, seeming to go over her words. It was imperative that he took her word for it." You do believe me, right? That I'm innocent?"she asked, tentatively.

Kell looked at her silently, no expression on his stunning face. After what seemed to be an eternity to Erin, he finally made a sound that sounds suspiciously like a scoff." Believe you? That's like asking me to trust you. Which in my book would be the gravest mistake l could ever make. No offense, but been there... done that... and I've still got the scars to prove it. Whether you're innocent or not, it matters shit to me. It's better if you just assume the worst of people than to be disappointed when you realise they're not what they say they are."

When Erin realised he was done, she closed her mouth which had been rapidly opening at his words. Whatever happened to him?! Looking down, she muttered under her breath, "I just asked a simple question... Jeez!"

"Nevertheless, you're with me, sunshine. That's probably the safes place any woman could be." When she rolled her eyes at his statement, she could swear his expression softened just the slightest bit. If it wasn't the fact that she was openly admiring him, she would have missed it." Why don't you get some shut-eye? I'll finish here and bunk on the couch later."

She hesitated for a moment then decided to listen to her aching body that was demanding rest. Kell's eyes were on the screen, seemingly engrossed. Instead, he was attuned to her as she she changed into a more comfortable sleep wear and got in the bed. The rustling of the sheets, the shifts she made to get more comfortable and her contented sigh.

Thirty minutes later, he felt her eyes on her. Kell turned to her and his brows shot up. She shook her head slowly." I didn't get to say this properly, but, uh, thank you. Not many people would do what you're doing but thanks for everything, Kell,"she said in quiet sincerity.

Long after she feel asleep, Kell was still dumbfounded. He could hardly see the words on the screen. Someone had actually thanked him! And without being sarcastic!

"Hell no!" Kell exclaimed, arms folded across his broad chest and he tried to murder the blonde wig Erin thrust under his nose with a lethal glare.

She glared at him." Hell yeah! You wanna waltz in there showing off your hair? I'm not having any of that. Anyone with half a brain will notice who you are."

His lips curled in disgust." I'm not wearing some wussy blond wig. "

Erin's eyes narrowed threateningly." What are you trying to say? That because I'm blonde I'm a wuss?"

It seems like Kell was ready to reject anything she showed to him. Why was he so stubborn!? Now, she was feeling desperate. They had to find something to wear to wear to Erol's ball.

It hadn't taken her long to find a sexy v-neck red gown that was sleeveless, backless, cut-out at both sides and had a long slit at the right leg. It had an intricate beaded design that added to it's beauty.

he paired it with a silver pair of five inch heels, a silvery purse and matching jewelry. When it came to Kell, he had found... nothing.

Erin groaned as she set about looking for a suitable tuxedo for Kell. She picked out a whit one with a red tie and vest to match her gown.

The look of horror on his face once he saw the tux was priceless. She also added black with green contact lenses for herself and thy hated blonde wig with blue contact lenses for Kell.

After much pleading and conceding to let Kell keep a Goth attire, he finally relented. Run grabbed a sigh full of relief.

Once they returned, it was close noon. While Kell hit the shower, she ordered lunch then proceeded to arrange their items in a provided closet.

Since the party started at 7pm they had a lot of time to be prepared. Engrossed in her task, she started when there was a knock. She steadily approached the door, her hand on the gun tucked into her waistband.

With a sinking feeling, she wondered if the enforcers had caught up to her.
