Broken Allies (ClintxReader) ✔️

Chapter Twenty One.

Everything was dark, cold, and unwelcoming. The only sound was a consecutive drop of water, splashing to the ground in rhythm. The air was light, almost as if it was like levitating and there was no breeze at all.

Your body sifted through the air, chest heaving up and down and your head pounding. You had no aim of direction, so you went your body took you.  You tried igniting a flame but nothing would work, you were trapped in eternal darkness...until a bright, white light appeared.

"Y/n...Y/n...Y/n"

That voice sounded familiar, and it was coming from the direction of the light. Running straight towards it, you breathed out frantically as your fingers grazed the light and before you knew it, you were no longer in that dark space.
Snapping your eyes open, you found yourself to be lay on some sort of mat and staring up at a grey ceiling. Groggily, you sat up with your elbows supporting most of your weight.
Only then did you notice the ten worried frames gathered around you.
The first face you locked onto was Clint.

Your eyes widened and a surprised grin split into your face as you pounced onto him for a hug. He fell backwards and his arms snaked around your waist as you kissed him lovingly.

"Oh my god, I am so thankful to see you"  you breathed, resting your forehead against his as he smiled softly.
"I love you"

"I love you too" he grinned.

"Y/n? Are you okay?"

You pulled your gaze from Clint and moved to look at who spoke.

"Wanda, what happened?"

"You don't remember?" Tony asked.

"I remember literally being in my room moment ago and Bucky pulled the trigger on me" everyone's gaze widened and Bucky dropped his head.
"My fault Buck, I made you do it" you clarified and he nodded.

"You were training with me and insisted I send you under into one of your own nightmare to see if you could take it on"

"How long was I out?"

"Six hours" Natasha replied and your mouth dropped in shock.

"What happened?" Thor boomed and you could only shake your head in response.

"Maybe a story for another time"

They all nodded and only then did another frame enter the room. You couldn't see them at first but you heard them.

"Always so mysterious Y/n" she chuckled and your body instantly began to shake.

Tears sprung to your eyes and you shakily stood to your feet. All was silent as the person frame was finally revealed and your heart nearly leaped out of your chest.

"B/f/n?" You breathed.

"Yeah?"

"B/f/n" you said again, almost trying to convince your own mind that she was indeed there.

"Are you okay Y/n?"

"B/f/n!" You shrieked, pouncing for the girls and enveloping her into a bone crushing hug.
"You're here! You're actually here!"

"I never left" she laughed as you finally released her and moved to Clint's side.

"What exactly happened in that nightmare of yours, Y/n?" She questioned as she moved to Thor's side and he pecked her on the cheek.

"Who cares..." You breathed, eyes glancing over the gathered team.
"All that matters is that we're all here, and we are all together. A family"
