Exposed and degraded, they were stripped and shown to the crowd. The auction was about to begin.

They were lined up, not even knowing who they were standing next to. Three that stood together seemed most interesting. The boy was tall, strong, well proportioned, and some might even say handsome. His blond hair was long and he had striking blue eyes. However, they burned with an angry fire. That fire had yet to be put out.

One of the girls had darker skin and hair as black as night, her eyes the color of chocolate. Her face was a perfect picture of fear, marking her beauty. She made an attempt to cover herself, causing her to be yelled at.

The other girl had lighter skin and hair the color of polished wood, her eyes were green like ripe olives. Her stare bore into you, as if she was completely detached from what was happening. There was no anger or fear in her expression, just staring.

There was the sound of shouting and the three were pushed forward. It seems like they had all been bought by the same person. The chains becoming their worst enemy. It was dark outside by the time they arrived at the home of their new master. They were trying to ignore the current situation, but it was hard to miss being introduced as if they were a new decoration. "We have names." The blond boy said with a bite in his voice.

"What was that?"

"I said, we have names!"

He continued with spitting in the face of the one who spoke to him, leading to a smack in the face that almost brought him to the floor.

They were shown to were they would sleep, a rathole of a place. The green eyed girl wasted no time in chewing out the boy. "Since you made such a production of us having names, the least you can do is tell us yours." The boy gave a slight groan before answering. "Alaric." The green eyed girl payed no attention to the groan. "I'm Helena." The darker skinned girl spoke for the first time since the auction. "My name is Cleopatra."

"Where are you from, Cleopatra?"

"Egypt."

"I'm from Athens."

"Wait, you're a girl from Athens, and you seem this smart?"

"Not all Athenians believe women should be silenced!  There's no need to ask where you're from, Alaric."
