Corre l'anno 1944. Il mondo è in guerra, una guerra diversa da tutte le altre. Le morti dei soldati non sono le uniche da piangere: ci sono quelle dei civili che muoiono tutti i giorni a causa di ripetitivi e pesanti bombardamenti. In tutto ciò la guerra sta giungendo al termine. La Germania Nazista sta lottando per difendersi dagli alleati, ormai in Europa e su vari fronti. Nella capitale, Berlino, la guerra non è un lontano miraggio. Tutti, dai bambini ai soldati, lottano per la sopravvivenza nelle strade di una città devastata dalla paura e dal terrore di possibili bombardamenti. La tensione è alta e nessuno sà quando ci si potrebbe trovare i nemici alle porte della città. Sulla radio non si può contare a causa delle falsi notizie provulgate dei gerarchi nazisti. La situazione è tragica: tra leggi razziali, quindi deportazioni, e violenze delle SS e della Gestapo sui cittadini i bambini non possono fare altro che guardare tutto ciò con i loro dolci occhioni e aspettare: aspettare che arrivi la fine della guerra cercando di sopravvivere come meglio si può. Anno 2092, vengono ritrovati e pubblicati due diari contenenti delle lettere dimenticate che raccontano le vicende degli assassini e dell'Abstergo Industries in Italia nel decennio 2015-2025. I tempi e i costumi cambiano ma la storia no: all'interno dei due diari si raccontano i vari scontri tra gli assassini e gli agenti templari dell'Abstergo per la conservazione dei manufatti della Prima Civilizzazione. L'Abstergo ha l'obiettivo di sfruttare questi manufatti per produrre nuove tecnologie avanzate, il moderno Ordine degli assassini rifiuta tutto ciò e punta a conservare e mantenere questi potenti strumenti.
