{Lily...Bus}
I climbed into the smelly bus again... this was going to be great. I already smelled like cow from gym when Marcy, our coach, made us run a mile. Lucky for her I left her a smelly surprise in her car and she'll know just how we felt. I smirked thinking about the frivolous prank. Wait, stop. I can't think like myself until I get home I though abruptly. "Hey bitch", I turned to see Emily standing there with a wide grin. I glared at her daring me to call me that again. She faced me an apologetic glance and mouthed sorry.
"I think I'm more excited about you doing it than you are," she smiled giving me her crooked grin.
"You need braces," I laughed. She laughed with me and then sat down. Johnny was planning on coming over around 8 and my mom and dad were going out just around then so everything would be perfect. My heart fluttered for a second and then I stopped myself. I could do this. I was Lilly the bitch and if anyone could do it, it was me. The bus rolled to a stop and I growled. We weren't supposed to be stopping for at least another mile and I needed to get ready for Johnny. I stood up and strode over to the front Of the bus ready to bitch.
"What's is going on here, are you really so incompetent that you can't drive a bus straight," I spat to the bus driver.
"Shut your mouth and sit down, we're having car problems and your complaining isn't helping anyone," the bus driver spat back with a hasty look. I stood stunned that she would speak to me that way. She had just crossed the line and I was going to make sure se realized it. I looked around and then snatched a water bottle from a kid sitting by me. I straggled to get the cap off and then poured the entire thing on her head. The freezing liquid dripped down from her chin and she froze shocked.
"Don't you ever talk to me that way again. You're the incompetent bus driver remember not me," I whispered into her ear. She fumed at me and then stood up.
"Get to your seat and everyone stay seated," she said through clenched teeth. I walked towards the back of the bus and Emily was laughing. The bus driver went to the hood of the bus and smoke rose up. I sighed, I could not be late for Johnny and this was definitely not going to stop me. I grabbed a pen from my bag and stuck in into the tumblers on the back door of the bus.Everyone just stared and whispers grew through the crowd.
"Here let me help," Emily said reaching out for the door. We tugged on the door and finally with a last pull it came free. The door flew open and sent Emily soaring with it. She smacked into the concrete and cried out in pain. Many people strained to see, but I pushed them away.
"Who's opening the bus," the bus driver yelled. She ran around to Emily and I ran over to her. The bus driver was asking her different questions and as Emily answered she stared at me and winked. This is your chance go I'm fine she mouthed. I got the memo and as everyone started to crowd around I slipped out of the commotion and ran off down the street. I was only thinking about getting away and didn't even see the pot hole in front of me. My heel jutted into the hole sending me flying towards the concrete. I caught myself just in time, but not before my heel snapped claiming them useless. I grunted and moaned. Everything was going wrong. I trudged down the street with heels in my hand and couldn't help but think about tonight. I wondered what it would be like. But then and again it wouldn't even matter if I didn't make it in time and with that thought I scampered down the street rushing home.
