Then There Was One

Chapter 4

I stood frozen to the floor, jaw dropped, and hands crumpled. This was not happening, I thought instantly. I slowly backed from the door, petrified to move too quickly.
"Did you miss me, Lilly pop," the man before me said with a sinister smile.
"That's....thats impossible," I stuttered, "your d-dead".
"It doesn't seem that way now does it," he smiled his crooked grin. He looked different, with his dirty blonde hair pushed back and his green eyes holding the old sparkle that I once loved. I took slow steps backward, backing towards the stairs in hope that I could make it to my room before he could catch me.
"You look different," he hesitated. "i guess older. What's with the sexy outfit," he questioned practically eye raping me as his eyes scanned my body.
"I was expecting someone," I muttered quietly.
"Oh I see, was I interrupting," he said with a sarcastic tone.
"Just what do you want," I spat harshly.
"Aw, now that's a good question. Well, for starters to see my 'old' girlfriend and second to do this," he said with a rush of words. He rushed forward as the last word passed through his lips and I stepped half a second later than planned. I ran fast, but he was faster, skipping steps and slowly gaining on me. I rushed up the stairs and down the hall, but he was on me in seconds and grabbing my wrist. He spun me around and pushed me against the wall. I groaned in pain and whimpered slightly when he twist my wrist.

I coughed as dust rose up from the old journal in my lap. I scribbled furiously, adding to my wonderful plan and knowledge about Lilly. I smiled and my grin spread wider as I thought over the plan. It was almost complete as in it was almost time to destroy Lilly forever. I smirked and re read my plans for an 8th time now, if something went wrong things could backfire quickly.
"Honey, I'm going to the mall, do you wanna come," my mother called out. Perfect I thought. Now I would be able to get everything needed for my plan.
"Yeah, I'll be ready in ten," I screamed back as I rushed to my closet. I couldn't hide my smile as it spread over my face.



Lily's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I groaned in pain as my head slammed against the car trunk. He slammed the trunk hard and my head had slammed with a clank. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME my mind screamed as my head filled with pain. I reached to touch the wounded area and my hand was soon drenched in blood. I tried to stop the bleeding with the extra cloth on my shirt. I think my health class said to do that. I tried to remember, but soon everything was blurry and my eyes were struggling to stay open. I searched around for something, anything, trying to grasp the light, but soon the only thing in view was darkness.

Alex's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I dragged the millions of bags into the house. I had got so much stuff and now my plan was basically ready. My mom and I had gone to 5 Below, the only place we ever shop. I had gotten 7$ worth of items and I was really grateful to my mom. She could have bought two packs of plastic plates with that! Everything was set up in my room and I organized according to the plan. When everything was set up, I reviewed my plan....again. It was perfect and soon I would unleash it.

Lily's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I awoke later on with a drowsy smile. The smell of pancakes was in the air. Voices of laughter fluttered and I couldn't help but feel amazing. I looked down to see specks of sunlight dancing across the shadows. The birds chirped and everything was perfect. I got up and turned the handle of the door. I twisted slowly but the door was locked tight. There was no way I was getting in or out. The room was pitch black except for the specks of sunlight that continued to dance across the floor. My hands tread the walls searching for a light switch. WHERE IS THE LIGHT?!?!?!! I felt anger rush through my veins but in an instance everything was happy again and I felt light as a feather. I stubbed my toe but only felt happiness again. What was this? I panicked but again my feelings fled quickly and happiness surrounded me. I sat in the pitch black wondering where I was and why I was feeling like this. But all of a sudden a loud ringing sound pierced the silence. I covered my ears in pain as the ringing grew louder and closer. It pierced through the walls and I screeched in pain. I expected happiness to fled quickly to me but no such thing happened. The pain in my ears grew worse and started to spread down my arms and up my neck. My whole body was motionless and I felt as though it was the end.

I screamed and jerked forward, pulling me out of my horrid hallucination. It was fake, it was fake I cooed to myself trying not to freak. I moved my neck to the side and the man was in front of me. I jerked back, terrified. Where was I? How did I get here? Who was this man? Memories flooded back to me but still not everything was answered. Why am I here? And where is here?

"Calm down, calm down. I gave you a temporary paralyzing shot. This will make you unable to move your whole body, this way you can listen to me for a few minutes without doing anything stupid," he said, his voice calm. I jerked my arm up and realized he was right. I couldn't move at all. My mind screamed, but my voice was silenced. I wanted to run, but was stuck. I remembered him saying it was only temporary and my eyes searched the room looking for a way out. He seemed to notice my search and quickly assured me that I wouldn't be able I leave so soon. This made me crumble. What about John? I even thought about my mom then Emily and Paige. What would my life become?! I panicked and started screaming and desperately trying to move my arms and legs. I was soon pained by a twinge in my arm. My eyes landed on the needle sticking out of my arm. My eyes wide searched around and found him looking at me.

"You're stressing out and causing danger to both yourself and me. I just gave you a sleeping substance and when you wake up we'll talk again, if you're ready. Now sleep lily pop," he smiled and walked away. I struggled to keep my eyes open and soon fell into a dark sleep.
