Humans against demons

She stared out in the distances..nothing seemed to please her..she wanted more than a normal life,more than just her life.
"Evelyn!"a familiar voice called.
Evelyn turned around to see a young girl with pig tails and a lab coat on."there you are,I was looking all over for you what are you doing on top of the roof?" The girl asked but Evelyn just looked down on the city."sunny I'm just thinking about some stuff is all" said Evelyn relieving sunny."well..the science fair is starting..ya wanna come?"sunny asked hoping for her to say yes."...well..I guess i could go.."Evelyn said still not satisfied.But when doubts came through sunny had already grabbed her by the hand and headed to the school fair.
Lights and lanterns were lit with plenty of chemicals to fill the air.topping it off with cheap fair food.Sunny ran to her station almost knocking every little thing over,her clumsiness didt help either.She grabbed some tools still working her best on the project.Sounds of hammering and metal were making her nervous."uh..sunny...what exactly is..your project?"Evelyn asked nervously."glad you asked! let me introduce you to the new ghost and demon finder and summoner!!!..you see I didt want to make a Boring project like a volcano,I wanted it to find demonic things!!"she yelled excitedly.Evelyns worry turned into a bit of curiosity. What would anyone do with it anyway?But out of a sudden a weird noise popped out."oh geezes looks like it needs a batterie..hey Evelyn can you carry the machine to the basement down the school?"Sunny asked already plopping the heavy machine into Evelyns arms."it's not that far plus if you do it I'll save you some corn dogs?"She said already eating a corn dog."uh..sure.."she said gasping for air as she trudged to the døwn basement stairs.She creaked down slowly,it was always a creepy place to her.But as she took the first step aloud bang boomed.Evelyn lost her grip and balance,and tripped all the way down the basement."owe!"she yelled holding her scraped knee."this is gonna leave a bruise.."she muttered then looked around the room.It was as dusty and creepy as it could be.When she finally got up the machine started to buzz.."what's it doing?"she went close to the cracked machine then tied her blond hair and took a better look at it.The beeping got faster as Evelyn made her way to the machine,until suddenly..it shut off and so did the entire schools light."huh?"she got up and noticed she wasn't alone..as she made eyes with the yellow eyes hiding in a broke desk.Evelyn screeched then hid behind the machine whimpering.The yellow eyed figure slowly creaked out of the desk it's scaly skin scraping it,Making its way to the human below her.Evelyn slides trying to get away but the figure was fast.Its claws finally sunk into Evelyns skin making her weep.When all hope was lost the figure finally noticed something wasn't right.It screeched and fell to the floor bleeding and trying to get away.."that il teach ya you tramp!!"a loud obnoxious voice beamed through.Evelyn turned only to see a gothic girl holding a strang gun,pointing right at her."H-hey! Now hold on!"Evelyn stuttered as the gun pinned her to the ground."Who the hell are you and give me one reason not to kill ya now?"The loud voice spoke with a tone only a demon wouldn't fear."M-my names Evelyn..evelyn Collins and I'm only hear because of my friend.."Evelyn stuttered as the gun got closer.The girl put her gun down and
grabbed Evelyn and the machine and went upstairs."Hey!"Evelyn struggled to get out free but her grip was to strong.When they got outside the sunny view was gone and replaced with a storm.The wind blew most of the projects and papers away."we need to go somewhere safe!"the loud girl yelled.She kept running still holding on as she burst through a storage unit setting Evelyn and the machine down."what's happening?!" Evelyn yelled."I don't know but someone opened a portal from our world to there's..."she yelled back trying to fix the machine."who's they?"Evelyn asked."hell..."the girl muttered under her breathe.
Suddenly sunny broke in with some tools and began fixing the machine."sunny!! Your back!"Evelyn yelled.Sunny fixed herself to the machine,when it started to beep again.The loud girl went out side only to see shadows and figures running around."there...free..." She said.sunny mumbled and started to freak out finally grabbing the machine and crashing  it to the floor,the machine opened a portal with a green light beaming through when she finally grabbed a bat and started to close the portal."Ahhhhhh!!!!"She yelled holding on but Evelyn only sat there in shock.Finally the portal closed all of the shadows stopped coming.Sunny gasped and fell to her knees.
Evelyn gawked at her friend..all that hard work for nothing..
     "It wasn't for nothing Evelyn"Sunny said putting the machine to a box labeled (crap)."now I've gotten to a point where I know more about the world"sunny said finally packing it then dusting off her lab coat."But why destroy it? I mean what good would that do?"Evelyn asked still in shock of what had happened."Because if she didn't our world would become there's."The girl said walking in slowly,her ripped jeans and bloody shirt made Evelyn only hate the girl more."and who might you be if I might ask?!"Evelyn said stubbornly."your worst nightmare"she said teasingly leaning on the table with sickening grin.Evelyn glared at the girl as sunny rapped her arms around her."she is my experiment!"sunny yelled confidently,while the girl broke from Sunnys grip."Experiment? What do you mean by that?" Evelyn said getting alittle but concerned."Well she-" sunny got caught off from the obnoxious girl."I'm a demon idiot." She yelled getting impatient.Evelyns blue eyes widened.She shuffled back a few.
The room grew silent as Evelyn got the news."why didn't you ever say something?!" Evelyn yelled.She got up and faced sunny."I-i didt think you would understand.."Sunny said with a cry."Listen you brat this has nothing to do with you so go out and live a normal life blondy!" The girl said gripping her hand."how rude but I wouldn't except better from an idiot like yourself!"Evelyn yelled getting ready for a fight.They both had their fist in the air."hey! If your both going to be like this then I suggest you get out first you are both acting like children!"Sunny finally spat then kicked them out."Whatever..didn't want to be human anyway.."The girl muttered.She walked off getting a cigar and started to smoke.Evelyn just sat there crying,her own best friend was friends with the worst person alive.,not only that but it was a demon!Evelyn walked off thinking of how to get back at the demon.
She walked through the streets looking around,when suddenly she ended up bumping into someone."oh sorry there"Evelyn said,the short small boy stared at the blond his gap tooth started to smile."N-no..it's fine"he said,the boy bursted off running.Evelyn wandered around until she finally reached her home.It was a large hotel with a lot of security.She went inside and went to her part of the hotel then slumped into one of the couches,still holding my gut when she heard footsteps"oh honey  that's not lady like!" A man with a suit case said heading out for the door.Evelyn ignored his father as he rambled on."I'm leaving for a couple of weeks but don't worry you have some money in the bank.." The father said trying to reach out for her daughter but her backing away."oh..and another thing.."
"What" she snapped.
                 "I love you sweety..."he said in a soft voice before leaving.
      Evelyn scoffed her father then looked outside out the balcony.she saw her father approach the taxi and took off.She sighed then thought about the demon."why would anyone be friends with that thing..?"
   But something caught her attention.she looked back as all the furniture was upside down."huh?"She turned around only to find a little black demon waiting to attack."Your mine!"the demon yelled laching on to Evelyns face."Ahh!!!"She screamed and fell to the floor finally getting demon off of her."hehene!!"It grinned and ran to the kitchen."oh my god!"she yelped"I gotta get out of here!"she thought heading for the door.she ran down and to the streets.Finally she seemed to be out of the good side of the city and into the bad side.the homeless made eyes at Evelyn they were looking for a good meal."hey there darling wanna hang out at my place?"one of them said.Evelyn kept moving on trying to hide her fear.When one of the grabbed her by the arm."cmon what's the rush?"the man croaked as he toyed with her."Get your hands off of me you freak!"She yelled but the man only grabbed her by the collar and one grabbed her from the behind."Well someone has a temper!"the man spat on her then his hands began to move to her skirt."let me go!"she yelled but they only corned her more."Hey!" A familiar voice boomed through the men turned to see the gothic girl with a bat."whacha gonna do freak?!"the men yelled to the girl.She ran up to the hitting them with the bat them grabbed him and pinned him to the wall.Her grip on the mans neck made him pass out."Let's get outta here!"the other men yelled running away.
       The girl grabbed her bat and began to walk away."h-hey! Wait..!" Evelyn got up finally then chased after the girl.They both reached to a bridge."what do you want blondy?" She said getting out a cigar then smoking it.
              "Why did you save me?.."
The girl looked out at the night sky."because little brats like you don't know how to survive without big bad freaks like me"she spat only to make Evelyn regret her for thinking of her as a bad friend.they both stared out at the øpen navy blue sea.
       "You know you shouldn't smoke.."
"I don't want your pity girly,smoking is just a smoke.I do it because it will decrease my health so I can finally get rid of my life.she muttered.
                 "Well..maybe someone doesn't want you to go yet.."Evelyn said softly looking at her now bloody hands.
       "I never quiet got your name?"
                         "...hunter.."
      "Well hunter..i think we might be good friends..."Evelyn said with a big smile on her face.
                     She didn't notice but hunter was smiling to.
