Steven's POV
Please don't end this way, Steven!" I told myself as I struggled for air. You're a Crystal Gem! You can do this!
The gem had a twisted smile on her face as she held onto my throat. "Oh, what's the matter, darling, can you not fight back?" Her voice was calming yet it made me fearful. I let out a muffled scream as I started to kick my legs as hard as I could.
Tears started to fill my eyes as I summoned my bubble, causing her to be knocked back.
Once I hit the ground, my bubble went away, and then the gems came running out with their weapons. I just gasped for breath, relieved that I could get any at all.
While I was still gasping for breath, I felt someone touch my head. I looked up only to see it was my dad staring down at me. "Hey, Steven, it's gonna be okay," he said as he gave me a hug.
I enjoyed the hug, but then I felt my dad let go. I looked behind me only to see there was the yellow gem standing there with the twisted smile once again across her face. "You're such an idiot, you actually thought I was your father?"
She laughed as she summoned a long, spiky, golden-yellow whip. "It's time for you to die, sweetheart," she said.
I quickly summoned my bubble, but the whip went right through it. I screamed, making the gems look over at me and gasp.
Tears filled my eyes, I felt all of my strength leave my body, and the last thing I saw was the yellow gem getting attacked by Garnet, and the voices of Pearl and Amethyst shouting my name before I blacked out.
