The trees swayed in sync with the wind. It became quiet, with only the sounds of swaying branches and howls of wind still staying.
The sky was dark, though it was still only daytime.
A figure walked through the forest, they seemed like a shadow. Wherever they stepped the plants would cripple and die around their feet.
The figure soon stopped and looked up to the sky, his black hair starting to sway with the trees.
He wore a long black robe with what seemed to be a white cloth around his waist and over his shoulder. He just kept staring at the sky.
Soon enough, he teeth gritted and a few tears rolled down his cheeks.
"I'm sorry.." He mumbled, looking down at the ground again. As he looked down, all the plants and animals in his vacinity just died around him.
"I shouldn't have caused you harm.. You should have just left me alone.. I'm so very sorry.." He mumbled, clenching his fists. He stood there for a few moments just like that, until he finally looked up and wiped his tears with his sleeve.
This is what happens when you kill the love of your life. This is what he has done.
He normally didn't care about the death of others, since he was cursed with being able to kill anything around him.
But this one girl. He has been foolish and killed her with his curse somehow. She had been cursed too, and it gave immortality, he still wondered how she had died.
Nonetheless, he had figured out a way for him to die. He had been dealing with this curse for over 400 years, and he had been getting sick of it. He wanted it to just be over, he should've died a long time ago anyway.
No one else had his curse, though. So, there was no point in trying.
He also just wished he could be with his love again, Mavis Vermillion.
He, Zeref Dragneel, just wanted to see her again. In any way possible.
He at least wanted to say sorry.
