Don't Ever Leave (Zervis)

Chapter 2

Zeref sighed as he stood there in silence for a few moments, lost in his thought.
I should head back to Alvarez..
He thought, and lifted his head up again. Then he realized, maybe, just maybe, once his empire is finished, he could use a reviving system to revive Mavis. But, there's a chance it would fail again, like the Tower of Heaven.
If those retched wizards from Fairy Tail would just let him be happy...
He sighed, and took once last look at the now-dead forest around him, then walked off, his body seeming to slowly become transparent as he walked farther away..

Mavis..?

Is that you?

Oh my goodness, why are you here?!

Mavis!

Wake up!!

Her eyes immediately opened wide, but then closed again seeing the bright light above her.

"Where.. am I?" She asked, since she knew someone was there, they had called her name..

"The real question is why you're here."
The voice said again. She recognized it.. was that.. Zera?

She opened her eyes again, this time squinting a bit because the brightness. After she had gotten used to the light, she saw a figure over her. She blinked a few times, seeing it was her..

"Zera?!" She exclaimed, immediately sitting up.

"Woah! Calm down there, Mavy. Yeah, it's me," Zera said, smiling at Mavis.

Mavis honestly felt her eyes water, and she jumped up and hugged Zera. Though, it surprised Zera, making her fall onto her back with Mavis on top of her.

"I'm so glad you're here!! Why are you here? What is his place?? Wait I thought you were dead? Did you come back to life?!" Mavis asked, of course she was just spewing out questions. Zera laughed.

"Can you give me some time to answer? Jeez!" She exclaimed jokingly with another laugh.

Mavis laughed too, and then decided to get off Zera, and she just sat down in front of her.

"Okay then. Answer," She said, smiling.

Zera sat up with a sigh, and then sat cross-legged on the ground.

"Alright," She began, pausing for a moment to actually remember all those questions, "Im here, because I'm dead. This place is basically the afterlife. I am I dead, I just said so. No, if I came back to life I would've let you know,"

Mavis blinked, staring at Zera. Was.. she dead?

"Wait.. I'm dead, then?" She asked. Zera just nodded.

"Yep. I should ask you why you're here," Zera said, crossing her arms. Mavis put s hand on her chin, trying to remember what had happened.. why she was dead..

"I think.." She began, still having trouble remembering, but then it clicked, "I kissed Zeref!" She exclaimed.

Zera raised an eyebrow, "You kissed who now?!"

"Zeref! The black wizard, the one who taught us magic!" Mavis exclaimed again, how did he kill him? She still count remember.

"Ooh, him.. Why would you kiss him?!" Zera asked, her eyes wide. Mavis shook her head.

"He kissed me, no.. I kissed him, no.. We kissed each other! I don't know!!" Mavis was honestly beginning to freak out. Zera blinked, then leant froward and put a hand on Mavis' shoulder.

"Calm down, Mavis! Just try to remember what happened!" She exclaimed, though she didn't really yell, she said it in a quiet voice to be more calming.

Mavis took a few deep breaths, and nodded.

"Okay okay..." She trailed off, trying to remember what happened, "I.. went into the forest.. and when I did, everything died around me.. I think.."

"Everything died around you? Like all the plants?" Zera asked, raising an eyebrow.

Mavis nodded, "It was.. Oh yeah- A curse that I got when I performed the Fairy Law spell..."

"I knew that spell would do something else to you," Zera said with a frustrated sigh, "Go on, I'll stop interrupting."

"It was a curse that.. Zeref had it.. Zeref had the same curse. We.. We kissed and his curse.. killed me," Mavis explained.

Zera blinked, and stared at Mavis, "His curse killed you..?"

Mavis nodded again, "I'm pretty sure,"

"If I ever go back to the world somehow.. I'm punching him,"

Mavis laughed, "No don't punch him! He was really nice, I'm sure he didn't mean to.."

"Are you sure? He's the freaking black wizard!" Zera exclaimed, waving her arms in the air for really no reason.

"I know that! But he was really nice.. I even think I actually do..." She couldn't really finish her sentence, but she finished it in her head;
