That sudden rush of adrenaline. Something I've never felt before. I flared up from within but I wasn't the one burning. They were.

My whole body, lit up, like a human torch. Is this my actual power? How does this have any relation with my brain power? Then, I heard someone call my name. Favan. I could hear him calling out for me. Save him? Or not? So many train of thoughts and that point of time, but so little time to answer them all. I just searched for Favan through the scorching burning bodies. He was perfectly untouched, not a single injury.

Favan : "Please, have mercy. Save me. Please"
His trembling voice hurt me so much. The childhood friend I had, to see him in so much pain, I just couldn't stand it.

I grabbed him by the hand and pulled him up to his feet. To just get out of that burning building, was all I wanted. I dashed out, trying desperately to look for the exit I longed for. Just as I reached for the exit. My legs gave way immediately. As soon as I was out that door, I collapsed flat onto the floor. Next to Favan, who was curled up in his knees.

Elith : "I need your phone to make a call."

He looked at me and reached for his phone.

Elith : "Hey Dante, Elith here. You can track me can't you? Get us a driver right away."
Dante : "We?"
Elith : "I'll explain."

Not long after, a black car pulled up right in front of us. The front window rolled down.
Dante : "Get in."

I lifted myself from the floor. Gave Favan a hand and got in the car. I didn't realise how hard I was sweating. My cotton tee was basically soaked. I looked back at Favan, he was texting someone on his phone.

Elith : "You better not be contacting anyone. Give me your phone."

And he did. Petrified of what would happen to him if he refused.

Dante : "So, elaboration please?"
Elith : "I'll explain with Mark around so that I won't have to repeat."

The atmosphere during the ride back to base was intense. It's like, a gun to the back of your head, if you say anything wrong "BAM" you're dead. I was so damn happy when we reached base. Favan got off the car and Mark immediately got hold of him. Probably not the best thing to do when a person's traumatized as shit but we don't know, he could be armed or something.

Dante : "I'm still waiting for your explanation."
Elith : "God damn boy, just wait man. We just got back. Where's Mark?"
Favan : "Where the fuck are we?"
Mark : "You sir, are at the base of Abiliates. Here's the base for people who you people call "supernatural"."

Elith : "Soooo, if yall are curious enough to let me speak now. 18 years ago, Favan here, is my primary school friend. We were one of what people call "squads" but we weren't trying to be one. We just wanted a group of friends to relate to. The next year we moved onto secondary school Favan totally lost touch with us. Like, completely. There. An introduction on him, done."

Ryan : "Okay guys, tell you what. Yall get some rest first, we'll do the rest of the introduction tomorrow."
Elith : "And you are?"
Ryan : "Ryan Tasfei, basically Mark's right hand man."

It's hard to believe that Favan is in the Abiliates Headquarters right now even though he doesn't have a ability. It made me wonder if even people without abilities could join us and fight with us, for our rights. But then, again, those people without abilities could go undercover and Abiliates could lose our headquarters. But then, again, it was worth a shot wasn't it? At that moment, I really couldn't process what was going through my mind, my body just went to find Mark.

Elith : "Mark, this could sound really really absurd but could we possibly get non-abilities people to join us to fight with us?"
Mark : "That is completely absurd but perhaps we could give it a try, we can start with your friend."

I walked out of Mark's room to find my way to Favan's room.

Elith : "Look Favan, you still have a chance to redeem yourself, it's your choice if you want to or not."
Favan : "What other options do I have anyway. I would rather try to redeem myself."
Elith : "You, have a chance on joining the Abiliates even without a ability."
Favan : "I don't know how that will work out but please, just help me."

When he talk about him having no other options left, I literally had no idea what he was talking about but, I still trust him. Ryan Tasfei, I didn't know who he was too but then again, the only people I knew were Lynx, Dante and Mark. Speak of the devil, he entered the room.

Ryan : "Are you hurt anywhere at all?"
Favan : "I think I've got a third-degree burn on my back somewhere."
Ryan : "Let me take a look at it so that I can treat it."
Elith : "Do you guys have specialised doctors or nurses here? Or do you guys have abiliates with healing abilities?"
Ryan : "We do have both but the healing abiliates aren't available right now so I'll have to do it manually just that without the healing abiliates, it won't heal immediately."

He seems like a nice guy but I don't know? He might be a douche later on. I went back to my room to keep my thoughts in check but my mind wandered off again and this time, one of it kept ringing in my head.

"Can I, still go out for dance practices?"

I tried to sleep, and I could but the next morning, I plan on asking Dante that question, if I needed to quit from the very dance crew I grew from, I would be so devastated. The people in it watched me grow so much. I haven't explored the rest of the base yet too, and perhaps, the crew could help out with the new plan.
