Scott ran as fast as he could back to Derek's loft, back to his best buddy. He couldn't believe it! He couldn't believe that The Derek Hale was dead! He had to figure out a way to tell Stiles before he got to him. The fight against Deucalion and the all Alpha pack left Derek Hale and Ennis, one of the Alpha pack, dead. Derek had fallen down two stories to the escalators, Scott couldn't hear his heart beat. Scott was dreading having to tell Stiles but the pack decided it would be best if his best friend told him the bad news.

Stiles was pacing in front of Derek's couch waiting for the pack to get back when Scott burst through the door. Stiles stopped his pacing and ran to his beat up and bloodied best friend.

"What happened? Where is everyone else? Where's Derek?" Stiles asked frankly at his buddy. Scott gave Stiles a soft pitied look. "What? What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" Stiles started to freak out more. Stiles started his pacing again.

"Stiles, sit down." Scott told his distorted best friend. Stiles didn't stop his moving until Scott grabbed his wrist and pulled him onto the couch. "Stiles," he grabbed his face hand on both his wet cheeks. "Derek..."

"What about him?" Stiles choked out. "What happened to Derek, Scott!" He yelled. Scott flinched away from him.

"Stiles, Derek's gone." Scott replied softly as he whipped Stiles' face with his thumbs. He hated seeing how hurt Stiles looked right now. He could never fully handle an upset Stiles.

"What do you mean by gone? Scott tell me exactly what happened back there!" Stiles asked harshly. Scott told Stiles everything sadly as he watched his best friend break slowly and then all at once. Stiles was sobbing into his best friend's chest as he rubbed his back gently.

"I know buddy, I know." Scott whispered soothing words into his ear while he cried. Stiles cried for hours before the rest of the pack showed up at the loft. The loft smelled like sadness and heart break. As the young member of the pack came in Scott motioned them all over to hug Stiles while he still blubbered quietly. Everyone gathered around Stiles and held him in a big puppy hug hoping it would help calm the sarcastic boy down.

"Why did it have to be Derek?" Stiles sobbed into Issac's chest as he was closest to the human boy in the puppy pile. Issac just hugged him closer while he ran his fingers through his hair softly. "I can't lose Derek too!" Issac then realized who Stiles was talking about, his mom.

Scott had left the loft to go retrieve Derek's body from the abandoned mall. But when he got there no bodies where found. The only thing there was the destruction done by the fight and blood. Scott called Issac while was searched the area for any signs of Derek or anyone else who could have taken the bodies but he couldn't find anything. "Issac the bodies aren't here." Scott whispered through the phone line when he answered.

"What do you mean they aren't there?" Issac yelled. Stiles was asleep in Derek's bed, he has passed out in Issac's arms as he had cried himself to sleep in the puppy hug. He had exhausted himself to the point he just past out. Issac had moved as far away from Stiles as he could in the loft. Everyone else was standing around not knowing what to do.

"I mean, like the bodies aren't here! I can't find them. There's no trails or anything to either of them. No smells, nothing." Scott hissed at the phone. He couldn't find anyone's sent besides the faint smells of the Alpha pack and his pack.

"How in the world did they just disappear?" Issac asks getting the whole packs attention besides the past out human. He sighed heavily. "Find him Scott, Stiles won't be able to handle not being able to bury him properly. You know this."
