"I can't abandon my patients just because I am getting married, Adam."
"Just because? JUST BECAUSE? My wedding is a 'just because' to you?"
"Our wedding, Adam."
"Well, it just seems like mine, Sky. Just seems like mine."
Another argument, another fight. And yet, they turned their backs on the fact that they aren't working out. Humans are the funniest creatures ever. We pretend that we can't see the things that actually matter and prefer to put all our efforts on things that would never work out. And then, we complain. Why is life so unfair? Why don't things come easily?
Probably because we choose to make it tough for ourselves at times.

AIRPLANE, 1:06am
SOMEWHERE IN THE *giggles* SKY. (I have been waiting for this one, let me have my moment please.)"Mom, I'm your daughter, can you for once, like seriously, for once consider my reasoning?" Sky argued.
"Darling, please, I'm not your enemy! Why don't you ever listen to me? You need to treat Adam better than that!" Her mom spat back.
"Ladies, c'mon! She's getting married day after tomorrow, I'm pretty sure all of this wouldn't even matter soon. People make mistakes, it happens when we're young." Sky's dad said, trying to soothe the air.
"This is Captain Ken speaking," announced the airplane's captain, interrupting the quarrel between the family of three. Uninterested, Sky lifted the window shutter, put her headphones on and pretended to sleep.
"We're about an hour and a half away from our destination. The crew would like to sincerely apologize for the delay and hope it doesn't cause much inconvenience. We're still expecting more turbulence. The storm outside is getting worse as we get closer to the destination thus, the hazy sky."
"Hazy sky." Mr. Elreino repeated.
"I heard that." Sky said, her eyes still closed.
"Well, then why do you have your earphones on?" He asked.
"I just don't want to hear my own mother tell me, in multiple ways, how to treat the person I've been with for the last fifteen years. I know what to do, Mom. I really do." Sky said.
"Oh, Sky, dear, you don't understand, do you? Men change! It is a fact! They change after marriage, they really do! And then when kids come alon-"
"What do you me-" Mr. Elreino turned to his wife.
"What kids? I'm not having any kids." Sky said, uncomfortably.
"Are you kidding me right now? You and Adam haven't talked about it?" Mr. Elreino asked, sharing the same look as Mrs. Elreino. They were looking at Sky like as if she got herself a one-way ticket to a mental hospital.
"What do you mean talked about it?"
"About starting a family?"
