Want.
What was it that always brought him back to that night? Bryce would never know. As he ran through those crowds of people laughter filled his ear as he passed everyone there was one person who stood out in them all. Columbia. Her green eyes stared right through his soul as a man stood beside her, figure dark and blurry like a bad memory.
Bryce woke up in a puddle of sweat as he looked around him violently in hopes of remembering where he was and praying it was just a dream he was having. His chest rose and fell fast but he tried to calm his shaking body to keep from waking the male beside him who just so happened to be Ryan. The older was in a slumber and his hand was where Bryce's hair used to be.
Bryce sighed deeply as he went to pull himself out of bed only to have the other male grab his hand and stop him dead in his tracks. "Bryce?" Ryan's voice was deep and rough which made Bryce shiver. "Goddamn dude you're sweating..you okay?" Now the hazel eyed man was sitting upright, his hand slowly going to grab hold of Bryce's. His blue eyes soften as he felt Ryan hold his hand gently but firmly.
It brought him comfort.
"Yeah Ohm, I'm fine..just..had a nightmare.." Bryce whispered as he put his other hand over Ryan's. The feeling of the blondes sweaty hand over his cold one was enough to make him smile faintly. His hazel eyes looked up but he couldn't see through the darkness. "You need anything?" Bryce only hummed in response as he tugged his hand away from the others. "No, a quick shower and I'll be back.." What Bryce didn't say was he would be in Ryan's room.
Ryan must've heard him in the middle of the night and came to lay down with him for comfort hoping it would help. He sighed deeply as he entered the bathroom and looked himself over in the mirror. His blue eyes were bloodshot and his blonde hair was a complete mess aside from how pale he was from that dream. The way Columbia looked at him told him something wasn't right with her, was she asking for help? His dream felt so real-too real.
Bryce couldn't bring himself to believe it was just a dream. There had to be something more to it then just la reminder of the way Ryan did him. As much as it hurt him to think back that long he had to get over it and leave it in the past. What mattered was Ryancwas here with him now..
He wasn't going to let this go. Not without a fight.
Bryce got out of the shower and dried off before heading back to Ohm's bed only to find the male going through one of his folders. He leaned against the door and smiled when Ryan glanced up at him; he returned the smile. "I uh..was looking for something.." Ryan states as he put his folders away and stands to his feet. "Kinda hoping to get it before class but it can wait.." His blue eyes stared up into Ryan's hazel ones as a grin played across his lip, "Why?"
"Because you're in my doorway wanting something and I gotta attend to you first."
That answer was enough to make Bryce turn red as his heart began to beat out of his chest. "W-what?" He managed to choke out as he backed away from Ryan. "I was gonna sleep in your bed but–" Ryan grabbed his wrist and smirked. "Oh you wanna sleep with me Bryce? Is that what you want?" "What?" "Oh it's on now Bryce."
Bryce was dragged into bed with the male and when he tried to escape two arms wrapped around him and pulled him in. His heart was beating so fast he literally thought it'd explode right then and there. Air became harder to get as his breathing became hitched and scarce like food on doomsday. "Bryce," Ryan whispered, his breath tickling the others neck. "I love you.." Those words..the million dollar words that came from the mouth of Ryan Wrecker meant so much to Bryce.
Bryce loved Ryan but he was so caught in the moment he left the other in silence. It wasn't until fifteen minutes later he managed to say it back. "I love you too." His voice had cracked but he felt a kiss be planted on his neck and then he was squeezed tightly. "I knew you did.." It was a lie and even Bryce knew it.
Ryan was so caught up in the web of "What If" that he forgot how much Bryce really cared about him. Even after what had happened. So now, the fear of losing him again ached at his heart and tore him apart from head to toe. He heard Bryce chuckle lightly and then say, "I bet."
The night seemed longer than it should've been but Ryan was thankful for it. When Bryce fell asleep in his arms Ryan ran his fingers through those golden locks like it was his last time seeing them. He held Bryce as if he'd be gone forever tomorrow but only because he didn't know how much time he had with him.
Ryan could only hope forever.
But the thought of Bryce's mother and family disowning him was keeping him from believing it was even possible for him to officially call the younger male his. God how he wanted too. Ryan had to admit, every time he thinks of Smitty he gets jealous at how much Bryce drools over the Canadian male and how much time he spends with him. So if he ever got Bryce he would make sure the other male knows that the blonde is his and his only.
Ryan sighed as he looked down to the sleeping male. He kissed his forehead gently before hugging him closer.
