War is everywhere. It occurs at home, overseas, online in the cyber world, even in your own head. There is no escaping it, but defeating it. To get out of a war, you must win it. You may think you are at the war somewhere else, but you don't know or realize that the ones you love and hold dear are at war. The only difference being the situation and location.

"WAAKE UP!!!" Our Platoon Sergeant yells. Startling me awake.
I jump out of my bunk and stand at parade rest along with the rest of our platoon.
"Put your gear on." He orders.
"Yes, Sergeant!" We shout as we race to put on our combat uniform and full kit.
"Sergeant, permission to speak, Sergeant." A soldier asks."
"What?" The sergeant responds, annoyed.
"Why are we throwing all our gear on?"
" 'Cause we're taking over an enemy held city. Then battling through Afghanistan to Iraq." The Sergeant said calmly as everyone almost started complaining.
"Hurry up, gentlemen. 4th Platoon is already staged." The sergeant ordered.
1 Hour Later..
I climb into a troop carrier truck along with the rest of my platoon. The convoy carrying our entire company -- Delta Company. Totaling 5 Troop Carriers, 4 APC's, and 4 MRAPs. A tank/armor division is supposed to link up with us to help with our entry and assault. We're moving to the city of CLASSIFIED to try and take it from the enemy. According to the brief, the attack would already be started by the time we get there. We need to dismount, dig in, and eliminate the enemies the best we could. There are 3 Areas and 5 Priority buildings we need to take. The only thing I can think about is my death. I need to be smart.
Jonathan needs to be strong.
The engines start in the vehicles and we begin our convoy.
"Alright! Listen up! 1st ID, the Calvary, Armor divisions, another infantry regiment and the 82nd Airborne are going to be assaulting the city and near by locations with us! This is probably going to be the most action you are going to see in your lives gentlemen! Check your ammo before we hit the dirt and after our first assault objective!" The platoon commander sat down.
I start to close my eyes and fall asleep. Just minutes into the convoy. I'm not alone.
....
I appear back in my apartment with the belief of Chase being in another room. I look around and see no change. I get up off the couch and search for Chase, but I cant find him. I look at my paw, my ring shines with the aid of the lighting in the room. I look in front of me to see Chase just standing there. I walk towards him as he stands still. I start to slow my pace until I'm at a complete halt. He stares blankly as I stare in question. I start to move closer, out of nowhere my right leg gives out and a visible wound forms in my leg. Sever pain starts consuming my entire limb. I don't make a noise. I place my paw over it with pressure and attempt to get back up. As I pick my head up to look at Chase, I see him back up, a blank expression still displayed. A tear falls from his left eye. I aid myself back up to my feet and go closer to Chase. I collapse again, more cuts form on my head. I do a blood slweep on myself and look down into my paws to see the crimson red fluid. I quickly look back at Chase to see more tears and bruising on his arm and face.
