"I'll meet you at 5:30am by this pole" I laughed, looking up at his grin.
"Noooo" He laughed back. Swishing his hand through his hair and then back to the straps on his back pack. I went to explain again but he just put his hands over his ears and sung loudly so he couldn't hear me. We both sniggered. This was typical us. Messing around. But this was typical us for the last time. Distance and water got inbetween us. He spoke Dutch but very good English. I spoke English, attempting to speak Dutch.
"I have to go now" I looked down at the ground. It was 00:00am. My mum was waiting for me to come back. He looked down at me, pulling me into a tight hug like he has done so before. I held back the tears.
"See you at 5:30" I whispered. He grinned. I wanted to kiss him for one last time...but he just kept me in a tight hug.
"See you later T" He whispered back. And we walked separate directions. I took a deep breath. He said i could see him again. 2 years....but that's an awfully long time.
5:15AM
I had no sleep. Of course not. He messaged me. He was waiting by the shop. I went to get out of bed.
"Go to sleep!" My dad raised his voice.
"T really. Not now" My mum sat up. My eyes were tearing up.
"It's just to say good-bye" I whispered....
"Let's get our shoes on" my mum climbed out of bed. I wrapped my blanket around me, it smelt like him.
As soon as i was out of the caravan I ran. Legged it. Sprinted. I took off my flip flops to run faster. I didn't want to keep him waiting. I just kept running. I ignored the stich at the side of my waist. I ignored me not being able to breath. I just kept running...but then i froze. He was stood there under the street lamp. His black blanket wrapped around himself. I plodded up to him, tears streaming down my cheeks. He pulled me into a tight hug.
"Easssy" His low voice said as he stroked my hair.
"I dont want you to leave" I sobbed. He kept hugging me, stroking my hair, telling me everything was going to be okay.
"We can keep in contact. I promise I will see you again" He looked at me in the eyes.
"It sucks" I mumbled into his chest. He checked the time on his phone.
"I...I have to go" He whispered. I gazed up at him. He whipped away a tear.
"I promise"
I looked at him, wrapped up in his blanket.
"See you later batman" I sniffed, laughing.
"And I will see you too Batgirl" He sniggered....and we parted ways for the very last time.
Atleast that's what I thought.
