I was in the park with my favorite things.

My paint separator and brush. My hair was in a lazy high ponytail,I had on a old sweater,with old jeans and my black boots.

  I was in this stupid park for 3 hours and all I drew was a bridge this isn't what i wanna turn in. It has to be perfect, the professor is going to turn in the best painting to a art gallery and there going to showcase it. He advised me to paint something personal.
 

"Ahhh" I groaned throwing the brush on the canvas. "Maya"a voice asked.

I turned around,great Josh gets to see me in this. "Is that my sweater"he chuckles.

"What are-".

Realization struck me. "I took this from your suitcase, 3 years ago"I chuckled.

"I called u a couple of times"he looked down.

"My phone is back at the dorm, I don't like distractions when im painting"I shrug cleaning my brush.
"Oh"he mouths taking a look at my previous painting.
"This is amazing Maya"he gushes.
"It's okay I need a better painting"I explain.
"I know a little something about Art"he grins grabbing my brush from my hand. He takes off his shirt revealing a perfect 6-pack.

 He begins to draw a heart. "Come join"he laugh handing me a brush.

I wrote my name and he wrote his in the blue heart.

"You know your a good artist"I smirk giving him a kiss on lips.
Your better"he grins pulling me closer by the waist. "I need to continue on my work"I blush.

"Well I'll see you tonight they didn't clear the dormitory"he picks up his shirt and walks off.

I looked at the little painting we drew and brought it back to a clean piece of paper.

   "Maya"a voice whispered walking into the room. I grumbled and sat up. "Josh where were you you should've came when I'm not sleeping"I hissed. "Sorry, I was doing something"he crawled into bed.

He tried to give me a kiss but I rejected it. "Look I'm tired maybe tomorrow"I whisper closing my eyes. "Wasn't even planning on doing anything"he chuckled.

    "Josh"a voice cried. I woke up and Lucas was staring at us dumbfounded. "Look Lucas-"Josh spoke. "No you two listen I don't know what happened but Riley is gonna be here in 2 minutes to hug her best friend  and she's not gonna be happy to see this"Lucas scoffed.

  "Just don't tell her Lucas I mean it"I growl.  "Whatever"he huffed watching Josh put on his jacket.

  "I'll come by in a few"he whispered giving my temple a kiss. "Maya"Riley shouted squeezing me hard. "I thought you guys were staying longer"I breathed out.

"I missed you peaches, our parents are having a big family dinner, Josh is gonna be there"she rolled her eyes.

"I'm happy you moved on, he's my uncle"she laughed before collapsing on her bed.
"Shouldn't we start getting ready then".
 

So now she doesn't like me with josh.

   I straightened my hair and wore a nice dress,Rosie dropped off the day before.
It was beautiful and it was just perfect length right above the knee not showing anything really.
  "Come on peaches, my grandpa and grandma drove down too,so I think it's important"she nodded
   "Hey girls"Mrs.Matthews greeted.
   "Mom"Riley cheered happily.
  I looked around for Him.

"Who are u looking for"Shawn my father asked.

   "My mom I didn't see her in a week or two and I wanted to talk to her"I smile. "Oh Katy is in our apartment upstairs she'll be down in a few she's a little hectic about a silly earring"he mutters the last part.
   "Well Uncle Shawn when you don't have a lot you learn to value the little u have"."Maya taught me that"Riley swung her arm over my shoulder.
   "Secret to Life"Cory ask.
   "People change people"we both smile.
     "My brother"Josh yells walking in. "My brother"he hugs.
    "Hey uncle Josh"Riley greets hugging him.
    "Where's Auggie"he asks confused.
    "He's helping Ava give birth to a dolphin"Cory sighed rolling his eyes.
   He chuckled and looked at me"Hey Maya,you look...beautiful"he nervously says before walking in the kitchen.
     All I wanna do is...
"Maya"Riley shouted. "Thanks for deafening me"I mutter annoyed.
   We all ate peacefully until Farkle had to open his mouth. Who invited him oh wait Riley did of course.
   "So Maya who was that guy I saw you with a couple of days ago"Farkle asks. "What are u talking about"I ask,I looked around the table they were eavesdropping on the conversation.

    "Yea he had brown hair,he was shirtless"he adds putting a piece of the barbecue chicken in his mouth.
  "Who's Farkle talking about"Shawn asks turning on dad overprotective mode.
   I quickly glance at Josh then back at Shawn "he's no one he saw my painting and complimented it then left"I strugg. "But Maya you ki-". I quickly kick him under the table causing him to finally shut up.
  "Oh Josh when are u gonna settle down"Grandma Matthews asked.
  "You see I'm keeping my options open,for this girl that's real stubborn"he smirks looking at me.
  

"Now let's play the game "Build-the-Blocks"Cory chants running into the living room.

   I quickly walked to Rileys room making sure no one saw me.
  "Maya"He breaths.
  "Do you know how good you look in a tie"I smirk fiddling with the fabric. "Well you look stunning in this dress"he moves closer putting his hand on my waist. I stand on my tippy toes and take his head in my hands to kiss him. We fell on the mattress giving each other peppery kisses.

"Oh my"a voice cried.

"Oh Gosh I knew something was going"she groaned.

   "Mom"Josh exclaimed embarrassed.

"So you guys have been having sex"she crossed her arms.

"Grandma Matthews it's hard to explain"I clear my throat at the end.

"You two have been crushing on each other since the first time you meant, you were 8 and 6 and now your 18 and 21 don't be kids"she lectured.

 "Mom-".

"Look I won't say a word but sooner or later your going to get caught by the wrong people so either come out or break it off"she smiled before leaving.

"Okay it's off"I whisper.

"Wait,what you don't want to make us work"he objected moving off me.

"Josh, I've liked you since I was in diapers it's just that, Ri-".

"This is about Riley you need her approval to date somebody, Maya grow up your 18"he paced around the room.

"Riley is my best friend I would never do anything to hurt her"I raised my voice.

"Oh you mean like sleep with me"he yells putting his hands up. His forehead begins to wrinkle as he looks behind me.

"Maya"a cracking voice says. I spin around looking at Riley.

"Maya did my uncle Josh just say you slept with him"she asked her chest going up and down.

"Don't lie to me Maya"she shakes her head.

"Yes, Riley he did".
