I jumped up and started backing away slowly.

“If you’re planning on killing me please reconsider, I mean I have a……cat, yeah a cat at home waiting for my arrival, so if you decide to kill me and dump my body in the ocean then you will be taking a mother away from a cat” I babbled.

The guy in front of me quirked his eyebrow and smirked whilst walking towards me slowly, palms turned upwards in a surrendering motion.

“Sweetheart, I know you don’t have a cat, seeing as I saw you arrive at your house cat-less, so there goes that excuse out the window” He remarked smiling a cheeky smile.

I stared at his face and noticed just how attractive he was with his floppy brown hair, tanned skin, grey eyes and an amazing smile that showed a dimple on his right cheek.

Great, here you are about to be murdered and you’re checking out the murderer, nice going Eris.

I internally glared at my subconscious and continued to back away slowly.

I was going pretty good at putting distance between us, well that is until I tripped over my own feet and fell off the deck and into the freezing water.

I went under for a few minutes and thought of just drowning myself, I mean it would be a lot quicker and painless than what the murderer was planning on doing to me.

A hand pulling me out of the water stopped me from my suicidal thoughts.

The murderer was standing over me and glaring

“Why the hell did you jump into the water, you could’ve drowned!!” He screamed angrily.

I glared up at him and stood up.

“If you didn’t notice I didn’t exactly jump into the water willingly, I tripped” I stated through the chattering of my teeth.

The wind had picked up and it was sending goose bumps all over my body.

The grey eyed stranger rolled his eyes at me but shrugged of his leather jacket and wrapped it around me.

The smell of cologne and the feeling of warmth enveloped me and made me feel surprisingly safe.

I looked up to ask him why he is trying to keep me warm when he was just going to kill me.

He must have noticed the look on my face because he just started laughing and shaking his head.

“Sweetheart, I’m not a murderer, I was just walking home from a party and happened to come across a beautiful girl sitting by herself at midnight”.

My eyes widened and I groaned I’m way past curfew; my Mum is going to kill me.

“What’s wrong? Why are you making dying whale sounds?” He questioned?

I groaned for the 100th time and replied “My Mum is going to kill me; I was supposed to be home an hour ago”.

He looked thoughtful for a minute and then a bright grin appeared on his face.

“I can give you a ride home if you want, my house isn’t too far from yours” He replied.

I was about to object but he turned and walked in the direction of what I assume is his car. He clearly expected me to follow, so I forgot about all the lectures on ‘stranger danger’ and retreated after him.

So me being the complete cliché person that I am I automatically assumed that he would own a motorcycle seeing as he gives off the whole ‘bad boy’ vibe, but to my utmost surprise he actually owned a red pickup truck.
