The two had fallen asleep in the hallway just as E. Gadd called. "Hello?" Luigi answered. "Luigi! (y/n)! Come here, quick!" The professor yelled. Luigi woke you up. "Luigi... What's going.. On?" You muttered. "The professor just called. I think it's urgent." The plumber explained. You opened your eyes slowly, then got up. "Well, let's go see what's up!" Both of you speed-walked to the lab and you slammed the door open, almost giving the plumber and the professor a heart attack. "Oh, it's just you guys." E. Gadd said as he panted. "May you please open the door a little more gentle next time?" He looked at you. "Oh, whoops... Sorry." You hid your face behind the plumber. "Luigi told me you were going to tell us something? Looks like I got carried away, hehe." You scratched the back of your head.
"That's alright." E. Gadd replied. "So, the news. It's both good and bad. Luigi, I may have saw your brother. Short, dressed in red, with a M labeled on his hat." The plumber was shocked. "That's him! Where did you see him?"
"Well, that gets into the bad news... He is stuck in a painting inside the lair of the largest ghost in this mansion. King Boo, the leader of all ghosts." E. Gadd pointed at you both. "So, Luigi, if you want to save your brother, you and (y/n) will have to put your minds together and be brave. You think you two are up for the job?" You nodded, then you looked at Luigi. "Hey, what's wrong? You're finally going to see you're brother again." The plumber shook his head. "I... just.. don't know if I'm actually ready.." Both of you made eye contact. "Of course you are! I mean, look at all the ghosts we have defeated so far. It's like a quiz to see how far you can get, and I say, we came really far and we're ready for the final test!" You smiled, offering him a hand.
"Professor, we ARE ready!" You both said. E. Gadd laughed and nodded. "Very well then. Just to warn you, this is a very tough mission. Farewell, and good luck!" Both of you were pixelated to the destination and began the search once again.
