RACHELS POV

I awoke with a startle, momentarily forgetting where I was.

I was safe at Louis'.

Sighing, I rolled over and tried to fall asleep again.

"Ring, Ring"

I faintly heard someones alarm go off and decided that I'm not going back to sleep, so I quietly get out of my warm bed and head downstairs.

I found a large kitchen that was very modern. I found the jug after a few moments of searching, flicking it on. I find some tea bags in a cupboard and chucked one in my mug. I waited a few minutes, looking around the Tomlinsons' house. They must be pretty well off. I heard the jug make a loud 'click'. I grabbed the handle and poured the water in my cup. I tried looking for a spoon. I searched everywhere until I came upon a drawer.

As I was opening it, I heard a creak. I cursed under my breath and quickly stirred my tea. I put the jug away and quickly tried to gulp down my drink.

The hot liquid burnt my throat, but it still tasted good. When the creaking stopped, I looked at the direction it was coming from and saw a girl about the age of 15 there. She looked afraid probably because she saw a random girl with pink hair, tattoos, and piercings in her house.

Her eyes were locked on mine for a little bit. Then, she started screaming for her mom and Lou.

Oh dear lord.

I cleaned up the mess I made and put the cup in the sink.

The girl was still yelling until Louis and Jay came running down the stairs.

"LOTTIE!? WHATS WRONG?" Louis asked, Lottie, I think?

"Who's she? Why is there a random stranger in our house? She looks like she's from the morgue!" Gee thanks.

"Lottie! Be respectful!" Jay snapped at her daughter.

"I guess I didn't properly introduce myself. I'm Rachel," I stuck my hand out for her to shake. She took a step back and gave me a nasty look. How is she related to Louis? He's actually nicer than this.

"Well okay then." I said awkwardly. This morning couldn't get any better.

"Lottie, let's go get you ready for school, yeah?" Jay offered as Lottie followed her up the stairs. Tough family.

"So Rach, do you have any clothes? Any place where you left your belongings at?" Louis asked me hopefully. I nodded slowly and sighed.

"It's at my Aunt and Uncle's house. I've been living there for the past few weeks."

"Have you eaten anything?" Louis questioned me with a sad look on his face. I shook my head.

"Only at school. That's about it." I replied. His mouth was hanging open and he pulled me in for a hug.

Note to self: Louis is a hugger.

"Hey, wanna get something to eat?" he asked me. I already feel guilty for them letting me spend the night, and I don't want them to pity me anymore.

"No thanks, not that hungry." I lied. I was STARVING. I haven't had a decent meal in months.

"You're lying. We're going to get some food, then we'll go to get clothes from your place, got it?" He instructed me. I nodded and we were already out the door.

~

"So where do you wanna go?" he asked me as we were pulling out of the driveway. I shrugged and looked out of my window. It was a cloudy day, not raining, but not sunny either.

"I'll take you to one of my favourite places then" He smiled to himself.

The car ride consisted with some faint music from the run down stereo and a few words here and there.

Eventually we arrived at what looked like a small cozy cafe. He killed the engine and took me inside. It was small and very warm. It reminded me of those cute cafes in movies.

"Hello Louis!" An old lady came up to us, giving him a big hug.

"Hey guys!" Louis smiled to the all the staff members and took me to a table for two, right by the small fire place.

"Would you guys like to order?" A waitress asked politely.

"Yeah umm.. could I please have some crepes?" Louis smiles.

"Can I please have a chicken sandwich?" I ask politely.

"Any drinks?" The waitress asks.

"I'll have a flat white please" Louis adds on.

"I'll have a tea thanks" I say, remembering my unfinished one back at Louis.

"Sure, that'll be ready in about 10 minutes" She walks back out to the kitchen and leaves Louis and I sitting here.

"So, what did you do before ending up in jail?" I ask Louis.

"Oh I'm still doing a bit of school, and working around the place, what about you?" He answers.

"Oh not much really, just the typical teenager I guess" I smile.

"Yeah? Sounds fun." He chuckles.

"Yeah I guess." I mumble.

We chatted for a bit, talking about our family, school and other stuff, when our meals arrived.

"Crepes?" The waitress had both our meals balanced on her arms, including drinks.

"Yup thats me" Louis says.

"Sandwich?" She places it in front of me, along with the drinks.

"Thank you" Louis and I mumble, already digging into our food.

~

"That meal was spectacular Louis!" I laughed as we headed back to the car. We were about to head to my house when something hit me.

The police confiscated my belongings. I only had my phone, that's it. I cursed under my breath, hoping no one would notice me.

"Is everything okay, love?" Louis asked concerned. He feels like my big brother.

"I just um, left my keys, at um, at the police station! Ya, the police station!" I lied, sorta.

"They confiscated them, didn't they?" he asked with a smug look. Bastard.

"Yaaa.. I don't have any other clothes now." I said glumly.

"Well I have some money," he offered. What money? Am I missing something right now?

"My father, before he passed, was a billionaire. So basically my mum inherited his fortune." He explained.

I was stunned. So basically he was rich?

"Anyways, do you want me to buy you some new clothes? You may be staying at my place for a while." He smirked.

How will I live with him.

I laughed at him and agreed. He seemed excited about this.

"Let's go to the mall!" He cheered and as we drove off to the shopping center.

This day will be interesting.
