"you're so close to finding out" said a voice."finding out what?" I spoke."follow my voice" the voice said back. I followed the voice up to a room and stood in front. I heard voices and then I felt a presence run right through me several times. It was four enormous men that went into the room.I tried to see what or who was in there but they blocked the doorway.
"AHHHH!" was all I Heard. It sounded like a female voice then I heard a little childs voice, it was a girl."What do you want?What are you doing?Leave her alone!!She has nothing to do with this." It was that voice again. "Oh but you see since your husband won't pay me back my money I'll jut have to take something very valuable to you."a man's voice bellowed out as he laughed. He then tells his men to grab the woman."If you ever try to get her back or even attempt to call the police I will personaly kill everyone you love....Is that clear?" "Y-y-yes just don't hurt her please" said the woman on her knees crying."Oh I won't but when I finish with her, she will be the best I have ever trained" the man said as he walked away.The helpless woman falls to the ground crying hysterically. I wanted to help her but my feet wouldn't move suddenly the door shuts in my face and I feel myself being pulled down the hallway and sucked into the wall.
I woke up breathing hard and forgot that Thomas was there. He tried to calm me down and it worked a little but for some reason deep down in my guts I feel as if I know that woman. I just wish..."Are you ok fey?" said a concered looking Thomas. Fey is my middle name and Thomas is the only one I let call me that. My whole name is Carolyn Fey Carter I know this because when I was six I had a stuffed monkey and one day I was mad and ripped it open I found a piece of paper, a birth certificate. My mother's name is Marianne Carter and my father's is Fredrick Carter."Y-yea Im ok it was just a dream" I say more to myself then him."You want to talk about it?" he asked."No, but thanks" I said while giving him a fake smile."Well its 10:15 in the morning so we should get going" He said. I was hesitant at first but I agreed.
He gives me a look but I chose to ignore it and went to go get ready. I took a shower and put the clothes I had on from yesterday and brushed my teeth. The old couple gave us both a tooth brush and they said they'll have backpacks with food and water and other essentials. They even gave us each a thousand dollars. We told them thanks and I told them I would never forget their kindness. After our goodbyes and got in the car they let us have and went to New York. We chose it because it's far from Arizona and Thomas said he knew some people. So that way he could get a job and we can get a little apartment.
New York,8:30 pm, in the car
It was quiet...the ride to New York was long and boring. I turned on the radio and the song " Hold on we're going home" I sat back in my seat and let the song conquer the silence. I decided I would try to find out who that woman was and after many hard thinking minutes I gave up and accepting the fact that I may never find out who she is. I was just about to say something but I noticed we arrived at our destination. I seen this tall man about 23 he had dark brown hair and green eyes he went to talk to Thomas. I went to get my stuff out the back seat when I seen a hand be gentally placed over mine I followed the hand to become faced with two big blue eyes. It was a boy about 17 sandy blonde hair and alot taller than me. He smiled at me and asked to get my bag.
"May I?" the boy said. "Uhhh I got it...thanks" I said as I grab my bag."The names chase. And what's your name?" He said."Carolyn" I said as I made my way to the house."Nice to meet you! So I guess you'll be staying with me and my brother?"Chase said."I guess" I answered with a little unnecessary attitude. We talked for a couple of minutes until we went in the house. Chase showed me to the room I would be staying in and I thanked him."Dinner should be done soon... and I would be happy if would come and eat....I cooked it.." He said a little awkwardly. He was so nervous it was cute. I shook that thought out my mind and quickly agreed. His face lit up bright and I noticed he had dimples... I'm a sucker for dimple." I don't like my dimples but thanks" He said while winking at me."Did I say that out loud? Why don't you like them?" I asked changing the subject away from my embarrassing outburst."Yes you did but it's ok.. and I don't like them because I think its gay for guys to have them." He said." No it's not! I think it's hot." I said covering my mouth."And I think you're hot" He said and winked."Aren't you cooking something?" I ask while rolling my eyes. His eyes widen and he rushes to the kitchen. I'm left behind cluching my stomache for dear life after laughing so hard. I looked at the room and sighed."Whats wrong?" came a voice from behind me. I jumped "Oh gosh you scared me!" " I'm sorry now answer my question" he said. I bite my lip "nothing's wrong I'm fine" " Don't lie to me because I know when you lie!" He said a little irritated."I'm fine Thomas really I am" I say trying to calm him down." I'm sorry I snapped at you" he says while hugging me. I hug him back "It's ok I forgive you". "Ok good but I came in here to tell you dinners done" he lets go and walks out the door."Ok" I say as he leads the way to the kitchen.
We walk into the kitchen and sit at the table. We began to talk and eat and I found out chase's brothers' name is Tyler. He made us laugh the entire time and we got to know each other. Tyler and Chase are really nice and cool. I see why Thomas are friends with them. After dinner I took a shower and brushed my teeth and went to bed.
