Four: True Light

Ashe woke up the next morning looking around the motel room; she sat up and rubbed her head gently. She got up and got dressed in her usual outfit and got everything in her messenger bag and grabbed the keychain and quickly hooked it to her bag and ran out of the room to meet up with the boys. When she got out there, everyone was speaking; Ashe gently sighed and walks towards them.

“We are 300 km north of Yonfate village.” Yoh says pointing at the map. Ashe looks at the other two arguing.

“Who died and made you the boss?!”

“It’s an idea of mine,” Ren replied

“What?!”

Ashe sighed, typical boys she guessed.

“If someone opposes the idea, it can destroy the group.” Ren told them, looking at the boys. Ashe giggles when they replied to Ren.

“WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT US?!”

“If we look at our strength,” Ren started ignoring them. “I must be the leader but I don’t wanna put myself before others so that leaves Yoh and Ashe.”

“No, no. I wouldn’t make a very good leader, so it just leaves Yoh.” Ashe says modestly. “So what do you think, Yoh?”

“Yeah! Let’s go!”

“Wait!” shouts another voice. Ashe looks over seeing a boy with light green hair. “To this place, may I go with you?”

“Join us?”

“Yes.” The boy replied smiling.

“What gives you the right to just join us?!” Horohoro shouts at him.

“Pardon me, I forgot to introduce myself. I came from England to participate in the Tournament like you guys. My name is Lyserg Diethel, I’m 14 and my ability is dowsing.” Lyserg says bowing and showing them his Oracle Bell. “The research of objects on divine roads and this is my Spirit Morphine. My dream is to become a great detective.”

“Hello, nice to meet you.” Ashe smiles his way walking towards him to shake his hand. “I’m Ashe.”

“Hi, nice to meet you. I’m Yoh!” Yoh added shaking his hand as well.

“WAH! WE’RE TAKING HIM?!” Horohoro and Ren shouts at Yoh.

“Are you both insane?! He’s a participant in the Tournament, he could be an enemy!” Horohoro reminded them loudly.

“Detective or not he seems too soft to even help us!”

“WHAT, IT’S A GUY?!” Ryu shouts.

Lyserg pulled down his pants to show appendage to them, and Ashe quickly looks away with a huge flush of red on her face. Horohoro was pissed and he pointed at Lyserg once more.

“But, Yoh this guy seems really suspicious!” Horohoro shouts at Yoh. “He could be a double agent for Hao!”

“Hao!” Yoh remembered, shocked.

“I’m just dowsing guide, guys.” Lyserg says smiling. “And you guys are here, too.”

“Dowsing?” Ashe asks him regaining her posture, blinking vigorously.

Lyserg nods her way answering. “It consists of capturing magnetic waves. Haven’t you seen it on TV? We use a pendulum to find water or minerals other people find it to cure people. My case is different,”

Ashe suddenly dead-panned and was lost, having question marks appear all over her head as he continues speaking and explaining. What the hell was he saying?!
