The "Date"

Emily POV

I meet up with Leo for our "date". "Hey Leo."I said and he nodded. "Hi Emily."he simply replied. "What's up?"I said looking at him and he shrugged. "Nothing."he replied. We started walking around together,"I'm sorry we have to do this, it's all Jason's fault."he told me and I looked at the ground and shook my head. "Let's at least try to have fun."I spoke up and Leo nodded,"I guess." Leo was acting really weird and like he didn't want to be here and I didn't know what to do. We walked and talked,but it seemed off.

An hour later,Leo and I were hanging out by the lake. Neither of us were talking, it was an awkward silence. "Leo you're my best friend right?"I asked him breaking the silence. He nodded,"Of course I am." I looked at him,"So I can tell you anything?" He nodded once more. "Well there's something I need to tell you and I don't want it to mess up anything."I told him.

I looked at Emily and she looked really pretty. The feeling of us just being friends began to fade,"So what do you need to tell me?"I asked her. "I wanted to tell you that I like you, but not just as best friends."she told me and I looked her for a few seconds and there was another silence. "So what do you say?"she asked me and I kissed her...
