Coming of Age

The Change

Bella pov

I wake up, hearing the twins screaming their heads off.

I reach over for Elijah. He's not there.

I sigh and go to their room. Elijah is there, holding Jo, while Sebastian is yelling.

I pick him up and rub his back.

" Honey, what happened?" I ask Elijah.

" They were reaching for each other and they got very upset." He says. 

" Put them on the floor and have it so your legs are holding them up." I say.

We do that and Jo and Seb are happy again.

" That's so cute. They just missed each other." I say, smiling. 

We push their cribs together and put them in them. 

" Bella, Its time for you to change into what I am." Elijah says.

" Wow. That went from 1-100 real quick." I say.

" Well, we haven't spoke about it." He says.

" How long will it take to change me?" I ask, forgetting what he said a few days ago.

" It will take 10 minutes. Then you have to drink human blood or you will die." He tells me.

" Change me." I say.

" Lets go to our room." He says.

We walk to our room, hand in hand. 

I lay on our bed and Elijah leans over me, feet still on the floor.

" You have to drink some of my blood." He tells me.

He bites his wrist,and puts it up to my mouth. I know I have to do this or I won't be with him and Jo and Seb.

I drink. " Okay. This may pinch." Elijah warns me.

He bites my neck. There's a slight pinch, but that's it.

I feel the darkness engulf me.

( 10 minutes later )

I walk up, thirsty. " I-i'm thirsty" I say.

Elijah hands me a bag, and I drink. 

I feel powerful. 

" Bella, how do you feel?" Elijah asks me.

" Powerful. I feel so powerful." I tell him, pecking his lips. 

I run around the house in less than 10 seconds. 

" Wow." I say.

" It will be weird for a while. Remember, don't feed in the open." He says.

" I know." I say.

I run to the full length mirror, and see how beautiful I am.

Elijah comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me. 

" Your so beautiful. " He says, kissing my cheek.

We walk downstairs and outside. Niklaus is talking to a young woman.

" Nik, who is this?" I ask him.

" This is Alice Cullen." He says.

" Cullen?" I ask.

" Yes. My brother was one of your suitors. I apologize for what he said to you." She says.

" It is quite alright. If I may ask, why are you here?" I ask her.

" Niklaus is one of my suitors." She says.

" Oh wow. Who is the other one?" I ask.

" Damon Salvatore." She says.

" Those are great choices." Elijah says.

" Yes. But I have already made my choice." She tells me. 

" Wonderful. Who did you choose?" I ask.

" Niklaus. Damon was very, creepy." She says.

Nik lights up like a kid on Christmas. 

" Congratulations. I hope you guys are very happy." Elijah says.

" Mrs. Mikaelson, will you be my only bridesmaid? We just met but I feel we will be great friends." She asks me.

" Of course Miss.Cullen. I'd be honored. " I tell her.

" You can call me Alice. We're friends." She says.

We leave Elijah and Niklaus to talk.

" Miss- I mean Alice, whats your dress look like?" I ask.

" Its quite lovely. Its a large white ballgown covered in lace. Its a little low with the cleavage but other than that I love it." She says.

We kept walking and I showed her Seb and Jo. She fell in love with them.

We kept talking for hours until she left. 

Elijah and I went to bed since it was 10 at night.
