I yelled out at him while stepping back "What do you want from me? Who are you and why did you have Kei?" He looked down at me frustrated but did not speak. I searched his face hoping to find answers to my unanswered questions. I noticed that both his eyes were purple now. He was actually quite handsome, someone I would have been interested in if he wasn't being some creepy weirdo right now. He stretched his right hand out towards me while I was still in my train of thought taking me by surprise. I lashed out using Kei "I told you to stay back!" I screamed out. I don't think he expected me to attack him because he didn't seem to have time to react as Kei swung down towards his arm. I watched as Kei should've made contact with his right arm but passed through it instead. He continued to reach out for me. I swung Kei rapidly at him but just like the first time Kei blade would become transparent at the last second gliding right through him. Kei himself even changed weight through the process, becoming lighter when he was transparent and heavier when he converted back to his original form. Using his already stretched out right hand the young samurai gripped my left hand that was still tightly holding Kei. "Would you please stop doing that! It's rather fucking annoying." He mummer in a cold tone before yanking Kie out of my hands standing up straight. "Hey, what do you think your doing with Kei?" I replied frustrated while lunging at him reaching out for Kei. He held Kei up high over his head using his right arm and placed his left hand on my forehead holding me back. "Calm down little fox!" He said with a smile. I pushed his hand off my head and glared up at him "Don't call me that and what your deal anyway! Why can't Kei hurt you?" I demanded crossing my arms over my very blessed chest. He sighed before answering "Because I can't hurt myself." I went from angry to confused in seconds "What?!" I blurted out. He slowly lowered Kei staring at his blade as if getting lost into it before answering "I am Kei."  My heart beat picked up and my tension seemed to fade away as he said that. "Is that really you Kie and what going on? I don't understand!" I questioned softly looking down at the floor. To embarrassed to even look Kei in the eyes since I had just attacked him moments before. "This is my true form. As long as I'm in the saya my spiritual energy is comatose." He spoke softly lowering the katana to his side. My body seemed to take control lurching me forward towards Kei. I tried to wrap my small arms around his broad body the best I could. "I..I'm...so sorry.... for attacking you before Kei!" I stammered in between sobs. He pulled me away looking down at me with that emotionless face of his. "Don't worry about it, but now that I've revealed my true self to you I need to ask for a favor." I smiled up at him with teary-eyes "Of course Kie! I owe you my life!" He grew a serious look on his face before giving his answer "I need you to come with me to find your father so I can get him to break this contract he placed on me!" I stepped back out of his reach like I had just been struck and that what it felt like. "What contract?.....What does my father have to do with it?"  He looked frustrated, as if he was having to explain his reasons to some pitiful child. "I don't want to get into a lot of detail but basically your father placed a contract saying I had to watch over you until you passed or the contract was broken. Now I need you to help me find him so I can finally be free to live my life the way I want to." I turned away towards the kitchen pouting. "Why don't you go find him yourself then if you want to be rid of me so bad" He placed a hand on my shoulder turning me back around to face him "It not that easy you see." He spoke real sweetly. His eyes gleamed with a softness that wasn't there before making me wonder "Does Kei really care for me the same way I care about him."  I started to reach out to touch his cheek when my hand fell short when he spoke out again but in a more nonchalant tone this time. "Because of this stupid contract I can't linger to far from you or I would have already left by now." He smiled patting me on the head as if what he just said was harmless. I could feel the rage building up inside me with each pat on the head before finally knocking his hand away  "You stupid jerk." I scolded before storming off to the bathroom slamming the door shut behind me. I heard his faint reply through the closed door "I guess she didn't like something I said!"  I looked into the mirror staring at my hot mess of a reflection while talking to myself. "Stupid Kei! How could he be so in considerate and uncaring. After all these years together did he really not even care just a little bit. Did he really just stay around because he was being forced too?!" A couple soft knocks echoed from the door followed by Kei voice "We really need to talk about finding your father Emiko." I gripped the sink so tightly my fingers started to hurt while a thought raced through my head "Fine! He wants to be free of me that bad then I'll help him to do so." I swung the door open just when he was about to knock again. "I'll help you find my father and break the contract." I said with a fake smile. He lowered his hand to his side with a look of uncertainty on his face. "So just like that you'll help me?" I continued to hold the fake smile on my face while replying  "Yep!"  He rubbed the back of head "Ugh...ok! That went a little easier than I thought it would." He spoke still a little unsure on what just really happened. I brushed past him heading towards the kitchen. He followed behind me just like he did when he was in his other form but actually walking instead of hopping around. I pulled out the ingredients to make rice cakes as he hovered behind me. I was mixing the ingredients when I spoke out "Is there something you need or are you just gonna stand behind me the hole time?" He flinched like my words had stung him then moseyed on over to the table sitting down in one of the chairs. "Just habit I guess.......sorry." He replied watching me cook. I finished making six rice cakes as Kei watched diligently. I placed them on the table sitting across from him picking one up and taking a bite.  "I guess you don't eat huh!....being a magical katana and all." I said with a mouth full of rice cake. He picked one up taking a bite and swallowing before answering "I normally ate when you wasn't here."  I looked unimpressed swallowing what was left of my rice cake "Anything else you would like to share." Taking another bite as a perverted grin creeped across his face. "Yeah!....you should really start getting dressed in the bathroom from now on. Unless that is you like me watching." My face turned bright read and I almost choked on my bite of rice cake before finally managing to swallow it down. "Your such a pervert Kei!" I protested. He wolfed down what was left of his race cake standing up "I'm a guy little fox. What did you expect!" He slumped over to my bed collapsing on it. I jumped up knocking the chair over backwards "Oh no you don't!" I rushed over picking up Kei katana he had placed in the corner that he use to reside in "Go back to your comatose form." I demanded pointing at the saya attached to his side still. He yawned turning over to face the wall "Look....now that you've seen my true form your stuck with it....So just deal with it!" I groaned in frustration placing the katana back in the corner. I grabbed a spare pillow and blanket from the closet before turning the lights out and walking over to the couch. As I laid down Kei voice sliced through the darkness "Tomorrow we leave out to start our journey. So try to get some rest." I didn't even bother to reply instead I closed my eyes hoping that when tomorrow comes all of this will have been a bad dream.
