Chapter 2: Back to Reality

Alyssa's POV

16 years later

I woke up to a knock "Who is it?" I yelled. "It's Marissa your maid." Marissa said "OK come in." I said. "I brought you your velvet purple cloak and your basket ma'am." Marissa answered. "Thank you, and remember you can't tell anyone about me leaving to go to my secret treehouse, or that I practice my powers, because if Mom or Dad found out I would be in big trouble because you know that I'm not allowed to even use my powers." I said "Yes ma'am and I also checked on the king and queen they are in the throne room working on some important documents. I also told the king and queen that you are going to see Princess Crystal from Avlor." Marissa said " Great thanks, bye!" I said happily as I left.

I ran down the hall, I slid down the staircase, running into the library picking out a book about birds, a book about bears, a book about cooking, and a book about gardening. I love to read, cook, garden, paint, spend time with animals, and of course practice my powers!

My secret tree is actually in the forbidden forest. It's really high up in the trees and it is painted to look like the trees. The door is round-topped and painted a dark brown, and the handle is made of pure gold, also my door is enchanted!

"Friends come on out I'm back!" I yelled once I was deep in the woods standing in front of my treehouse.

After I called that so many little animals came running and flying towards me.

"Oh hi everyone! Did you take good care of my tree house while I was gone?"

As I ran into the house I looked behind me, I stepped out onto the porch looked around and realized that this was my real home.

I went to the garden to collect some herbs for a delicious stew for lunch and maybe I'll make some more for dinner too! "Everyone come out come out wherever you are I need some help making lunch! I called. Suddenly as I look around my animal friends come scurrying, flying, and galloping towards me.

About an hour later I had everything cooking, the stew was in a pot over the fire place, the special cookies for the animals were on a pan over the fire place, and the last thing over the fire place was the fifth pot of tea made from the tea leaves from my garden and I was using the big pot. The animals love the tea! My life is great I'm the princess of a big kingdom, I have powers, I'm very smart, kind, and resourceful!

   "Ok everyone, the tea is ready!" I yelled as I was pouring the last bowl of tea. See because they are animals most of them can't drink from a cup so instead I use bowls.

   "Everyone up the stairs, I'll have too finish the basket contraption tomorrow!" I called out the window.

   I counted everyone as they came in.

   "39......Wait, where is Amanda? Oh there you are! We need to work on galloping a little faster." I said as she staggered in panting.

   "Ok once you guys finish your tea I'll read you a book from the bookshelf, and look I brought more books to add too the bookshelf!"

"Yay!"

I found a book called "Lagoon Fantasies" I didn't even think about the title. Then I sat down a began to read.

40 Minutes Later

"Ok we are at page 50 everyone. I said. As I looked around I realized that all the animals were asleep. "Good night." I whispered as my eyes closed sleepily.

The Next Day

I awoke to the sound of song birds chirping. Most of the animals had left so I decided to make some breakfast. I went to the cabinet and got a loaf of bread. But when I looked in the storage room I saw that I was out of berries. "Well, there is a bunch of berry bushes not too far from here." I said. I grabbed my bag and skipped out the door.

                      1 Hour Later

   As I started plucking the berries from the bushes something moving quickly caught my eye. I quickly looked up to see someone in a purple cloak identical to mine. The person stood up and sprinted away. "Excuse me but where did you you get that cloak! I yelled as I jumped up and started running after the person. Suddenly the person stopped in front of a brown wooden door. The person looked back at me! It was a young woman about 16. But she looked just like me! "Who are you?" I said as I started catching up to her. "You'll never find out!" She yelled as she ran through the door.
