PART A[Part of me somehow feels like I'm still in a fairy tale.]
[How so?]
[In every story there's always a villain. He's the antagonist. The anti-hero.
But it was strange to say that in my story, it appeared as though I embodied all three. Why you may ask? Well isn't all true that birds of the same feather flock together? Isn't that why he flocked towards me? Because he could see a little bit of himself inside me?][Tell me about how it all started.]
------------------
There are people. And then there are forces of nature. From the first day I saw him, I could tell that Mr. Charleston was a force of nature. As for the name of the natural disaster he embodied, I couldn't tell you yet. Just that it was harsh, fast and uncontrollable.
I think we all felt it on that first day.
The whole class was silent at his greeting. It must have been the shock I think. Mr. Mack, with his burgundy sweater vests and dreary monologues, was a presence we'd become acquainted with for the better part of two months. He wasn't the greatest but he was familiar. Yet without warning or reason he was plucked away and an unfamiliar presence ten years younger and dressed in a slim fitted shirt and jeans-styled slacks was dropped in his place. It was unnerving. He looked around seemingly oblivious to his own effect.
"I said good morning class," He spoke louder. It was no longer a polite greeting but a call for attention. Immediately we replied with a low reply in unison "Good Morning."
"What? No warm welcome?" Mr. Charleston grinned.
"Um where's Mr. Mack?" a dark haired girl sitting in front asked breaking our end of the tension slightly.
Charleston held his hands together facing her "Unfortunately for you and not him, he got a job in a private school over the summer and has been seemingly looking forward to it." I was a little surprised at the news but in hindsight I shouldn't have been. Pinehouse High was the sort of school that you were content to be in because compared to the other public schools in the state it was decent enough and on a good school district. Until you actually left and found much greener pastures. I wondered if how happy Mr. Mack was to leave us and if there was anything I'd miss about him. The second part had a shorter answer. I actually hadn't known anything about my former Physics teacher.
"That sucks," Bennett Anders remarked from his slouched position two seats away from me. He was Sasha's on and off again boyfriend for the past two years and the third man to the top in my brother Simon's posse. Despite this he barely knew me and our paths seldom crossed. During the random times I've spotted him over at our house he calls me Andrew for some reason. I've tried my best not to care.
I was confused as to why he thought a new teacher wasn't good news. He didn't particularly like Mr. Mack in the first place. Not with the amount of snickers and childish spit balls he and his friends produced on a daily basis to through him off whenever he was around.
"Ok well, normally this would be the point when my new class introduces themselves back after I've done it, but it seems as though I've been accidentally placed in a class with the most unenthusiastic humans in history. I wonder if you must all really hate Physics or maybe I'm just really ugly," now that seemed to get a reaction out of us. And surprisingly enough, me. I smiled involuntarily at the cheeky and bold look on his face.
