Your POV

I wake up to the sound of annoying beeping, well to say, my alarm. My arm flopped around lazily as I try to find the device. Once I feel it, I slam my fist into it, the beeping stops. I creak open my eyes, immediately regretting it due to the sunlight peeking through my curtains. I curse silently as I get up from my cozy bed. I stretch my tired arms above my head, my body relaxes, then I scan my room. Why am I waking up this early? I thought. I see my old, black Jansport backpack on the floor, I stare at it for a couple of seconds before my eyes widen. I squeal a bit, before I roll of my bed and face planted. I didn't care, I look at myself through my dresser mirror, my (h/c) hair looked like a bird's nest.

"My hair may look like crap, but who cares! It's the first day of school! Well actually it does matter..." I mumble to myself. I sped over to my closet, and I began to think what I'm going to wear. Dress? Nah, too much. Skirt? Too soon. I kept rejecting every piece of clothing, till my eyes landed on a perfect outfit. "Perfect!" I exclaim. I changed into the clothing and looked proudly at myself in the mirror.

"(Y/n)! Breakfast is ready!" Mom yelled. I cast a quick glance to my  phone on my night stand, I grab it and turn it on. I had a text message from my best friend, Blue.

BlueisCool: Hey! when r u gonna go 2 school?

(Y/N): soon, after I'm done eating breakfast

BlueisCool: cool

(Y/N): see ya!

Blueiscool: bye peep

I smile at the text before setting down the phone and walking to the door. I ran down the stairs only to be hit by a wonderful aroma of eggs and bacon. I skip to the kitchen to see Mom, she warmly smiles at me before handing me a plate. I help myself to delicious eggs and bacon, then I see that my little sister, Alex, struggles to get food(Random sibling name).

"You need some help?",I ask her. She gratefully nods as she backs away from her plate. She was pretty short for her age, so was I at least that's what everyone tells me.

"Thanks (Y/n), y'know I'm pretty sure that the 5th graders are taller than me!" she chuckles. I giggle as I set her plate down in front of her, she excitedly skips to the table. I follow slowly behind, careful not to hit our dog, Dog. I sat down and began to chat with Alex, not much to talk about other than school. Once my plate was clean, I placed it in the sink and went upstairs. I stuffed my backpack with necessities I thought I might need. While I was packing, I was interrupted by my sister walking into my room.

"Hey sis? We're ready to leave, so um, we'll be waiting for you down stairs." she awkwardly says. I hum in response as I hear her leave my room, I look around my room to see if I forgot anything. I see Alex boarding the car with mom, I quickly sped over to them.

"Hey girls, I uh, need to tell you something..." Mom stuttered. Me and Alex stare at our worrisome mom,"Plans were screwed and you guys have to go to new schools..." she finished.

My mouth hung open while Alex's eyes went wide as the full moon. My mother cleared her throat nervously as me and Alex continued to stare at her,"Don't worry! The school has everything handled! Plus, I'm pretty sure my two girls can handle making new friends! Uh right?" she tries to assure us.

"Yay! I'm so excited about going to a school I completely know nothing about and making new friends magically isn't going to be a problem!" Alex says as she claps her hands. Yup, my little sister is the Queen of Sarcasm.
