A Broken Promise

I watched as tears started to flow freely from Arlan. He used his hands to cover his face as Brian comforted him, he too, had tears in his eyes. The room was silent except for the soft sobs that Arlan let out. I looked over at Mark to see his eyes fill with sorrow. Jack looked like he was about to cry, Felix too. James and Joe exchanged glances with each other, they seem to communicate with their eyes. I sat on the floor speechless, so this is why Arlan and Brian hate their names. Or why they dislike Lui and...wait Brock? That's Moo's name? I was expected something else but it doesn't matter right now.

"I think we should eat and relax." Mark said, breaking the silence,"Today we've been too emotional so let's just take a chill pill for once...okay?" Mark smiled at all of us.

"Yeah, we do need a day just to forget everything." Felix agreed.

"I'll go get some drinks, you guys go ahead and take some pizza." Mark said as he got up from the couch. We all slowly started taking slices and started to nibble on them. Mark came back with the promised drinks and started to make jokes.

"Why do teddy bears never eat?" Mark said.

I smiled,"Why?"

"Because they're always stuffed!" Mark laughed. All of us let out small chuckles and smiled.

     "What did the cake say to the fork?" James butted in.

     "What?" Joe asked while smiling.

     "You want a piece of me~" James flirtatiously raised an eyebrow at Joe, who blushed. We all laughed together, even Arlan and Brian.

     "Wow. These jokes are so 1st grade level." I laughed.

     We spent the rest of the night just eating and having fun. But you know, all things gotta end. Mom called and said I had to go and everyone up else's Moms said the same thing. Since I had no ride home. Arlan offered to take me as the others just walked home. My house was far. I got in the car, me and Arlan drove silently. He said our goodbyes as he dropped me off. He drove off and I sighed, I felt like I was being watched but I ignored the feeling. I went inside the house to be greeted by Mom, she told me go to sleep. I was tired but took a shower and brushed my teeth. I collapsed on the bed and let the wave of sleep wash over me.

     I woke up suddenly due to a loud ringing noise next to my ear. I sloppily turned my head to see that my alarm was the cause of my awakening. I slammed my fist onto the alarm to make it shut up. I lay there on the bed for a few second before sitting up. I stretched my arms above my head and let out a scream of relief. I got off the bed and to the closet to pick clothes. I decided to go with a black Spiderman shirt and jeans along with (f/c) converse. I decide to let my hair down today so I brushed my hair and all the tangles in it.

     "(Y/n)!" Mom yelled,"Come down here, the young fellow you have today is here!" my Mom said. I groaned in annoyance, I forgot about the handcuff thing.

     "Wait. Who do I have?" I wondered out loud,"Don't I have Moo? Yeah, I have Moo." I walked out of my room and then downstairs. There I saw Moo in a sweatshirt, jeans, and his signature red sunglasses. When he looked at me, he hung his head in embarrassment, a blush spreading across his cheeks.

"Alright, let me handcuff you two, I'll be taking you to school today." Mom said as she came to us with the handcuffs. She hooked the handcuffs on us and grabbed her purse,"Come one you two!" my Mom chirped. Me and Moo sighed at the same time and followed her. Moo opened the door to the car with me following after. Mom started the car and started the journey to school. Me and Moo sat awkwardly next to each other, shoulders touching.
