These Wounds Won't Heal

Loki shot up from the dream he was having. He looked around quickly, panting heavily. He whipped his head around looking for his lost love, only to realize it was all a dream. His heart sank as tears pricked his eyes, why must his mind play such horrible things. The tears were now streaming down his face as he sat there. His long slender fingers gripped his raven locks.

Kai was in her own room, having had the same dream. Her figure lay curled up, her face buried in her pillow. She was heartbroken, she though The King didn't remember her as she did him.

The next morning the both pulled themselves up. Loki looked into the mirror, his features looking normal, but you could tell he was broken inside, his heart shattered. "I'm going to tell her..."

Kai stood before the mirror, her hair a mess. She took it hard, it was difficult to stay strong. She slipped on her armor and fixed her hair. "I'm going to tell him"

From separate sides of the castle they made their way to each other. They made it into view, but it ended to soon. As she ran towards him the room went white. A loud explosion rung in her ears as she toppled to the ground. Her vision doubled, she lifted her head to see Thor holding Loki in the choke hold. "You were dead!" Loki screamed. "Father fixed that, now come, we must return to Asgard, you and this wench have done enough". Loki's heart dropped when he seen Kai lay limp. " Kai!" He sounded like he was on the verge of tears, the anger and sadness filled his mind, much like it did when Frigga passed. He shoved Thor back and sprinted to her, there was a large chunk of cement going through her stomach, blood pooled around her. "Kai...please don't leave me..." Her gentle hand cupped his face "you remembered my love.." Tears steamed down his face and a sob escaped his lips "And I always will, because your going to live" Thor's face went grim as he seen when he had done. "Loki darling" she coughed as blood trickled down her lip "we both know that its impossible" "K-kai pl-" "We will be together in Valhalla my love...fret not" "NO! Your going to live! Don't say that!" 'Brother...' "Silence! You've done enough!" Loki held Kai close to his body as she lay dying. He knew then and there what was going to happen but he couldn't let himself believe it.
