Cloud Watching (Merome)

Pairing: Merome

Summary: Mitch and Jerome watching the clouds in the sky. (I was inspired by Mirai no Chizu from Uta no Prince-sama)

AN: Woooo! My first Merome fic! I usually only do Skylox, but I wanted to try writing for this adorable pairing.

Jerome POV

Mitch and I were relaxing on a soft grassy hill while watching the mashed potato like clouds float it the cerulean sky. It was just like any other day as we sat in silence and took comfort in each other’s presence. However, as I sat there, my mind began to wonder.

“As I gaze up in this sky, I wonder why we met” saying my wondering thoughts out loud.

“Maybe our hearts were somehow joined by destiny.” Mitch suggested.

“Maybe…”

“Well that’s not all Jerome. I can tell you why I met you, but it sounds kind of cheesy…” Mitch’s cheeks tinged a light rosy pink. He looked so adorable.

“That’s fine if it’s cheesy. You made me curious, so now I have to hear it.” I replied.

“O-okay. Remember when you were sitting on that bench in the park with your head in your hands?” Mitch asked me.

“How could I not remember?” It was a horrible day until Mitch showed up. It was the day my pops said I was worthless, the day my girlfriend dumped me for the same reason, and the day my mother left. I was only fifteen. On top of that, I was thrown out of the house. Then, when Mitch showed up, he showed me that I wasn’t worthless. He was a breath of fresh air, and continued to be to this day.

“Anyway, I didn’t want to see that you sitting there alone. I wanted to bring light into your life, because you looked so defeated.  I know it sounds kind of selfish, but I just wanted your heart to keep on dreaming with happiness. That is why I approached you Jerome.” By the time Mitch finished he was blushing a deep crimson and his breath was shaky. He decided to turn his head away, trying to hide that adorable blush.

“Mitch” I whispered while smiling. He quickly turned towards me with wide hazel eyes.  In that moment I had so many things I wanted to tell him. I wanted to thank him for taking away my loneliness, I wanted to tell him how I want to stay with him forever, and I wanted to tell him how I’ll always be happy around him. All of my thoughts boiled down to one point.

“I love you Mitch.” I whispered out loud. I never thought his adorable blush could ever get any darker, but he proved me wrong. However, before I could think further on his adorableness, I broke out of my thoughts just to hear Mitch mumble something.

“I-I love you too Jerome.” Mitch whispered shyly.

I quickly shuffled closer towards him and settled my head on his shoulder. We both relaxed and slowly fell asleep while watching the clouds.
