Smoker x Reader

You werent new to being  marine. Just new to your deparment. Your boss was now smoker and tashigi. Being apart of Smokers team meant a lot. Not that you loved him but just his relationship towards the straw hat pirates. The way he treated them was weird but you didnt mind it. It even made you smile.

He looks scarry and cold hearted. Hes not. Hes caring and puts others before him. Everything you saw in a man. The only thing stopping you from getting closer to him is Tashigi. Not that you had a problem with her, you just feel like they are dating and didn't want to stop them.

It did hurt watching the two of them together ALL the time. Your heart ached when you thought about it.

You were sitting on Buggy's ubconcious body and handcuffed him. You tried to be quick as possible before his other members of his crew.
You pulled him up but was too heavy to carry onto your back. The only way you could get him to the ship was to drag him. You did just that. Grabbing him by the ankles and dragging him against the ground.

You saw the ship in the distance and two small figures standing at the docks. You figured it had to be Smoker and Tashigi.

Just as you quickened your pace your face gets smashed by a large heavy spiked club. You fell to the ground your face gushed with blood as you held your cheek but only screamed in pain and horror. You spat up blood as you laid on the ground. Your face getting numb and your one ear ringing.

You wiped the blood off your face and slowly tried to stand back up pushing aside the pain. You look up to see Alvida with a angered looked.

"HOW...DARE..YOU TAKE MY CAPTAIN AWAY YOU SCUM!" he growled and lifted her club again and swung but you blocked it with Buggy body which only made her angrier.

Buggy fell out of your grip. She went to swing at your face again so your reaction was to block but instead she changed and bashed her bat into your left leg with a Crack. 

You fell to the ground grasping your leg and screamed in pain. Now you couldn't move. Just as she lifted her bat above her head a big cloud of smoke surrounded the area making it harder to see  as this was a good time to escape.

You got up on your one foot, you had to drag your other leg. It took so much energy from you that you were just a step away from falling to the ground.

A large pale arm grabbed you in time and picked you up bridal style. You looked up at the face of your hero to thank them and noticed that it was Smoker.

"Smoker...." you whispered a bit shocked that it was him that saved you. Then again the smoke did come out of no where and Smoker does have the devil fruit so it explains it.

"You're going to be fine. Your safe now."

You trusted him and nodded a bit as you leaned a bit against him and he pulled you closer to him as he quickly reached the ship and told the members to set sail immediately.

He headed into his bed room where he had a first aid kit.

He sat you down and examined your injuries. Your left eye was closed. In fact your whole left side of your face was bruised and puffy.  He lifted your pant leg up past your knee and it was purple since your leg was now broken.

"Geez [f/n]...you've never been in that bad a shape before..." he sighed and rubbed the back of his head as he took the cigarettes out of his mouth, "What are we going to do with you..."

You shrugged and looked away feeling bad that you didn't really help and was in such bad shape.

He sighed once more before taking off his jacket exposing his ripped body. Your face went red as your heart raced faster. You gripped the bed sheets and looked down.

Smoker lifted your head gently and tried to wrap the bandages around your head and the one side of your head.

Once done with that  he pulled up your left pant leg and took your shoe and sock off examining your leg.

He put his hand under his chin in thought, "I'm no doctor obviously but...we should pop it back in and wrap it up."

You leaned back a bit not wanting him to do that. You shook your head as he nodded shifting the chair so you were facing his side and youre fully on his lap.

"You can grab on tight to me. It's going to hurt for two seconds maybe"

You nodded and wrapped your arms around his neck and hid your pained face in the nape of his neck. He let out a low grunt since you touched a sensitive spot but he was able to shake it off.

"...1...2.......3...!" He pushed down on your leg as your knee popped back in your you screamed in pain clenching onto him.

Tears welled up in your eyes as he pulled your arms away laying you down on the bed and wrapped your leg in more sturdy bandages. He put your leg on a puffy body pillow and shut the curtains.

"You should rest....you got quite the- "

"I'M SORRY!" You interrupted him and clenched the bed sheets tightly with tears covering your eyes.

"I'm sorry ...I'm so weak...I'm trying!...I want to be strong...you already have so much work to do that you pushed it aside to help me. Now your behind and it's all my fault you will get yelled at!" You cried out as he sat on the edge of the bed.

He took your hand in his gently and squeezed, "that's where your wrong..."

He looked over at you and placed his other hand on your other cheek. You looked over at him as his small eyes kept you in place making you freeze and your heart beat fast again.

He leaned in closer to you and placed a kiss on the bandages where the injury was.

You gave a small smile, "thank you...for saving me and taking care of me." You whispered as he started to trail kisses down your jaw and down your neck which made you shiver in pleasure.

He was too caught up in making you feel better that he didn't respond to you.

Once he planted kisses all over your face he was inches from your lips as his smile was soft "that's what they do for the ones they love"

Your eyes widen in shock. Did he just say he loved you? Was that a confession?

You gave a more happier smile as you pulled on his neck and he brought his lips to yours and kissed you. You kissed back but had to part to answer his confession.

"I...love you too"

He smiled and gave you one last long deepened kiss before he allowed you to rest
