Its funny getting older
A dream a wish a plea
Things are not the same
A voice once said to me
Stuck within a mode
Of constant disbelief
Going nowhere, wanting to move on
Not an adult, but not a child
Stress and fun and stress some more
A party here, a party there
You're still getting older
19 and wanting more
A friend gets married
One is pregnant
And another is in the ground
25, still young now
Bills and bills and bills and bills
Reality has set in
5 married
4 with kids
1 divorced
2 in the ground
You're still lost
So much has changed
Struggling day by day
An adult just trying to find a way
To be happy within their cage
