"I got it." The door flew open to the boys dorm room, revealing a tall boy named Hunter, waving three fake ID's into the air.
There were 3 boys. Hunter, Charlie and Myles.
Hunter was the tall, outgoing boy who was 16 years old. He had short brown hair that went up in a quiff, and big brown eyes. He was known as the player of Rocky Edge Academy, (an all boys school.) and he had his connections.
Myles was the second oldest of the group, being 16 as well, and only a couple months younger than Hunter. He had brown curly hair, that just reached his blue eyes. He was the dad of the group. He always made sure the other boys didn't get into too much trouble, and he stopped things before it went too far.
Charlie was the baby of the group, being 15 years old. He had blonde curly hair, and big green eyes. He was the shy, small kid that never really talked unless it was to his friends. He would over think things, and have his doubts. He was frightened of most things, including people.
"Are those.." Myles squinted from his bed, trying to focus on the plastic cards that rested in his friend's hand. "Are those fake ID's?"
Hunter nodded, and dropped the cards onto Myles bed. "Yes ma'am they sure are."
Myles glared at Hunter for the nickname, then picked up the cards. Charlie quietly made his way over to Myles bed, sitting down cross-legged.
Myles snorted, looking at Hunter's fake ID. "It says your 22 and your name is Julian Del..Dela-"
"Delanger." Hunter smirked, and ran a hand through his hair. "It suits me, okay?"
"Whatever," Myles rolled his eyes, "Charlie, it says you're 21." He looked up at the youngest boy.
Charlie's eyes went wide and took the card out of Myles hands. "I do not look 21!" He squeaked.
"Yeah, he looks like he's like, 13 or 14." Myles said, looking over at Charlie who was wearing an oversized white knitted sweater, and blue skinny jeans. His hair was messed up, as he had just been sleeping.
"Well then, we'll dress him up differently." Hunter explained, shrugging carelessly.
"Dress him up differently for what?" Myles asked, raising an eyebrow. He shouldn't have been surprised, Hunter always had plans for the three of them to do. Most of them involved doing something illegal.
"We," Hunter gestured to the three of them. "Are going," He paused for dramatic effect. "To a club."
"Woah woah woah. No." Myles shook his head, frowning. "No we are not. We aren't old enough."
"That's why we have these," Hunter gestured to the fake ID's. "One for me, one for you, and one for Charlie." He handed the cards out.
"What the fuck?" Myles studied his card. "It says I'm 22 and my name is P. Ness."
Hunter and Charlie bursted out laughing. Myles confusingly looked at them, then back down at the card. "P. Ness?"
The two boys continued to laugh, and Hunter wiped a tear from his eye, "yes. Yes. That's correct."
"Oh you little shit." Myles frowned.
"Hey, it's better than nothing." Hunter stepped back and leaned against the doorframe. "Look, I know you two may not think this is a great idea. But you two need to realize that time goes by quickly. You need to get out, live, make your life full of adventures. When you're older don't you want to have these amazing stories that you want to share with people?" He paused for a moment, catching his breath. "We're usually doing nothing but sitting here in this room. We need to get out. We need to explore. We need to be inspiring." He sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. "We're young. And starting today, we're going to have the craziest adventure yet."
Charlie blinked a few times, not knowing what to say. He sat up straight on the bed, thinking about what Hunter had said. Myles sighed, looking out the window keeping quiet as well. They both knew Hunter was right.
"We're leaving in a half an hour. Get ready." Hunter said, pushing himself off the frame. He looked at both of them for a moment, not noticing any signs of rejection. He left the room and Myles let out a big huff.
"Should we go?" Myles looked at Charlie, biting his lip.
Charlie shrugged, scratching the back of his head. "I uh..I don't want to..but.."
"Hunter has a point. All we usually do is sit here on the Internet. Or in your case, stand there and paint." He nodded over to a canvas that was sitting over on Charlie's side of the room.
"It'll be fun." Myles nudged Charlie's shoulder. "I'll protect you."
Charlie started biting his finger nails. He had always done this when he was nervous. He just kept replaying Hunter's little speech in his head. It was time. He should step out of his shell. He should tag along. It'll be fun. What's the worst that could happen?
