Holtzmann skips around the firehouse, dancing to the music blaring through her speakers. Erin lets out a silent giggle as she watches from the doorway, completely oblivious to the fact that she too, is being watched by Abby and Patty.
Holtzmann looks up and notices her friends, but she doesn't seem to mind them all watching her. She smiles and waves and that's when Erin realises that she isn't the only one spying, and she almost jumps out of her skin when she turns around.
The laughter coming from her friends soon dies down as they all enter the room, greeting Kevin as they gather around Holtmann's invention table.
She demos a few of her less destructive inventions, but have to pause to remind Kevin that he has to answer the phone when it rings. He barely says two words before informing the ghostbusters that there is a beautiful woman haunting a house that a young couple are planning on moving in to.
"What the hell are we supposed to do about that?" Abby asks in confusion.
"No idea," Kevin replies, shrugging his shoulders.
"Well, did they say anything else?" Erin chimes in.
"Oh yeah, um don't how relative this is but they said that the woman is like a ghost or something, so yeah, still don't know." The four girls roll their eyes as they suit up and burst out the doors.
Holtz turns up the volume of the car and hums along to the tune of the song.
"Alright, here we are," Abby announces. Holtz looks up and her jaw immediately falls open.
"Is everything okay?" Erin asks overly concerned for her work friend.
"Uh- ya- yeah. Just this house.. looks pretty cool you know, got me excited," Holtz lies.
"Okay weirdo," Patty laughs. "Let's go bust some ghost ass!"
Jillian slowly but surely climbs out of the van and dawdles up to the doorstep of the semi abandoned two storey house. She pushes open the large heavy door and steps inside for the first time in many years.
While the rest of the ghostbusters take the time to look for ghosts, Holtz takes the time to reminisce about old childhood memories.
Erin stops to pick up a fallen down frame, and brushes off the dust to study the photo. Her eyes grow wide at the sight of a young Jillian and small boy wrapped in a group hug by two older people.
"What's that you got there- holy shit!" Patty blurts out. "Is- is that... Holtmann?"
"I think so," Erin drags out, frowning.
"Hey, Holtmann! Get your lying ass out here!" Patty yells at the top of her lungs, which sends Holtz running to them immediately.
"What is it?" Jillian asks nervously.
"Explain this," Patty says sternly, pushing the photo frame into Jill's face.
"Wh-what is there to explain?" Holtz stutters. "There is a girl you looks like it may be a young me, but I dunno, she looks to clean to be me. I mean look at that clean hair, and clean clothes. Definitely not me."
"Guys come quick, I found the ghost!" Abby calls out from upstairs. The girls sprint upstairs and immediately start firing shots at the transparent figure, who is getting angrier by the second.
"Stop," Jillian says at a moderate sound.
"What was that, Holtzy!?" Abby screams over the sound of vanquishing ghost.
"I said stop!" Holtz screams with pure anger in her lungs for the first time and of the girls have ever witnessed, which makes them drop all their equipment immediately.
All eyes are now on Holtzmann, including the ghost.
"Why did you tell us to sto-"
Erin is cut off by an angelic voice coming from the corner.
"Jillian?" The ghost whispers in a sweet sounding voice. A single tear rolls down Holtzmann's cheek before she musters up any courage to reply.
"Mom?"
