"Are you sure about this, Josh?" Tyler asked his best friend, whom was sitting beside him on Tyler's bed. Josh nodded, sure that he was ready to reveal their love to their families. Josh and Tyler have been best friends ever since Elementary School and by 6th grade, they realized they were ready to move on from both of their girlfriends because at the time, they figured out they were (dare I say it) gay.

Josh and Tyler make their way down the steps, holding hands. They enter a room with their moms and dads. Both of the young boys took a deep breath. The people in the room stared blankly at their sons. "Josh, you go. I can't" Tyler mutters, tightening his grip on his boyfriend's hand. Josh nodded and finally broke the silence, "As you know," Josh started, "Tyler and I hang out a lot. But the reason we hang out a lot isn't very clear. We're... not only best friends." Josh and Tyler looked at each other, fear in both of their eyes. Tyler then looked at his parents. "We're a couple." Tyler and Josh flinched, expecting a huge reaction from their parents. But what they expected is not what they got. Tyler's mom stared blankly at her son in disbelief. "Josh, you make so many jokes. This one isn't funny." his father said sternly. That's when Josh snapped. "This isn't a joke!!" Josh yelled at his father, glaring at him. Tyler looks at Josh and pulls him closer, "Guys," Tyler steps up, his arm around Josh's neck. "This isn't a joke." he said. Josh tries to walk out of Tyler's grasp, but the brown haired boy only pulls him back so he doesn't get in trouble. "Well, if it makes you happy, I'm happy." Tyler's mom exclaims, standing.

**After the whole ordeal**

Josh and Tyler lay in their room, watching a movie. Josh hadn't been paying attention to the movie since he was only thinking about the whole problem with his parents. What the heck is their problem? he asks himself, glaring blankly at the TV.
