By this time the police had showed up asking me questions about my house.

"Ma'am. Do you know of anyone who's angry with you or you had an confrontation with?"

I was mad. I really didn't wanna speak.

"Ma'am you're gonna have to give us information so we can find the perpetrator."

I sighed.
"Look, I had a dispute with someone at my church some days back. Her name is Lynnette Smith. I'm not sure if she was the one who did it. But I do know she was very angry with me when I gave her a piece of my mind."

The officer nodded writing down what I had said.

"Thank you Ms.Brooks, Detective Reid will be in contact with you soon. As for your house... that's left up to you. The city isn't required to pay any expenses."
I nodded. But I wanted to tell him, sir you think I'm dumb? I know all that... anyway, I have home owners insurance. So I'm pretty sure I'll be okay.

The officers had left and I walked through the yellow tape in the house.
Nothing in my house was destroyed thank God. It was just the outside.

A few minutes later I had went outside and unloaded my car of the foods and cleaner products, and went to put them away.
I realized I had ledt my phone and purse in the car. But that's fine, I went and got a couple of outfits. And locked the door to the house leaving.

I went to find the nearest hotel and on the way Eric called. And before that I had seen 3 missed calls from him.
Right now it's like in the evening.

"Hello?"
I took a deep breath.

"Hey sweetheart. I thought something was wrong you haven't called. I called you three times."

"Oh, no nothings wrong. I just went shopping had to put the things away."

"Uh, you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. You finished studying though?"

"Yeah I got finished about an hour ago. That's when I called. Thrice."

"Oh, okay."

"Mhm. I have a surprise for you. But you'll have to wait until Sunday. "

I laughed
"Why Sunday?"

"Cause it's the day before your birthday."

"Uh- okay." I really didn't wanna accept anything, because I know it's expensive.

"Don't worry about money Dana. I've told you before I got you."

A smile crept on my face. He's gonna make me fall in love with him for sure.

"Alright then."

"Well you up for coming over or you- you know what I'll come to you."

I widened my eyes.

"Wait no sweetheart I'll come to you."

"No don't worry about it Dana. I'm coming."

"No-wait-I ..." I bit my lip nervously. "Well I have something to tell you. Can you meet me at the Italian restaurant next to the red roof inn?"

"Umm, ight. On my way sweetheart."

We hang up. Like 6 mins later I pulled in to the hotel parking lot.
I purposely waited on him.
But I only waited a little while before I went ahead into the restaurant.
I asked for a seat for two.
The hostess directed me and I sat.

I looked at my clock and it had been 14 mins, he's still not here.

27 mins had passed and in walks Eric. He had looked around for me and then spotted me telling the hostess he's here with me.

"CIARA BEHAVE NOW. I'LL BE BACK."

I heard my dad yell from downstairs.
"Alright dad."
I said back.

Right now I was texting Jax talking to him about today.

○●Jax●○ I'm sorry about today ight, I'm feeling you but my mama n daddy having issues. I haven't been home until yesterday. So it's kinda making me feel off. Thank you for the advice.

○●Ciara●○ No problem, you can talk to me anytime. I just don't want you to feel like I can fix your problems cause I cant.

○●Jax●○ I know Ciara. You're a good person. You're beautiful too:).

○●Ciara●○ Well, if you wanna meet at the park we can right next to my neighborhood. My dad's not home so don't worry about it. We can talk if you wanna.

Oh Lord what did I just do.

Yep, my death date is set for today.

I had sat down and ordered a drink.
A Virgin Margarita.

"What's going on baby?"

Her face was drained. I can't tell something.

"Well..." She was Fidgeting.
"I came home from shopping and my house was messed up.. my windows was busted and the glass on my door. Then the front part of the house had spray paint on it in red that said "gotcha!"...the police had asked me if I had any enemies. Or recent confrontations and the only person I know is Lynnette."

I looked at her concerned. "Baby, you sure ? You know the other girl Alicia you told me about ? That could be her. O-or that Bobby guy?"

"No It couldn't be them Eric. Alicia has been in church and stays with an old coworker of mine. And Bobby is still incarcerated." I put my hand over my mouth thinking.

"Man. Aight, I gotchu. You coming to sleep in my guest house ?"

She shook her head no.

"My insurance is  gonna pay for my stay in this hotel."

I sighed. "Aight. Fine, make sure you call me everyday though. You need anything ?"

She shook her head no.

Jax and I agreed to meet up at this park and I'm waiting for him. I'm looking around  for him in the near dark.

"Looking for me ?" I turned around.
my hands in my back pockets.

"Oh, hey Jaxon."
Hey cupped my face and kissed me. We were kissing passionately.
I was feeling this but I had to get home before my dad lit my behind up like the sacrificial lamb.

I pushed him back. "Jax I've gotta get home and I thought we we were just gonna talk."
He smiled and kissed my cheek.
"I'm sorry I just had to make it up to you, for being rude. I'll take you home. But on one condition?"

I looked at him. "What's that?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

I hope I'm not a rebound... but I'm sure bouto say yeah.
