That night at bible study.

Eric , Ciara,& I had walked in the church doors.

Eric had stopped and turned to me and Ciara went on in the sanctuary.
"I'm gonna in my office real quick, I'll be back sweetheart." He had his hand linked to one of mine and everyone was already staring. I'm just like oh
Lord.
With that statement he kissed my cheek and let go of my hand walking to the back smiling.
One of the older ladies at my church named Ms.Mary had looked at me smiling. She walked over being discrete with what she was about to tell me.
"I've always knew he liked you. Honey, and don't worry about these folks in here honey. I know a few who spread their legs for a Deacon or two." She patted my shoulder and went in the sanctuary, Ms.Mary had my mouth open and stuff.

I laughed walking in the sanctuary.
"Ms.Dana! Over here! " I seen Ciara waving me down by the stage.
I walked where she was with my choir robe.

"Yes?"

"DAD wants you ." I looked around confused.
"What? Where? "
She muffled making a crazy face
Pointing.
"Over there.."
I looked over by Bernice the church secretary's seat.
I seen Eric standing there. With a old man I've never seen before standing beside him.
He waved, and I walked over to him.
"Hey, my love." I turned to the old man. "Hi , how are you I'm Dana Brooks."
"I'm Eric Rodgers Sr."
He shook my hand.
I kind of dazed out.
"Eric, you didn't tell me I was meeting your dad tonight." I was nervous.
"It's alright. He's told me all about you. And his description did justice, you are beautiful. " I smiled "Thanks Mr.Rodgers."
"You're welcome. What do you do? "

"I'm a cheif sales associate at Marshalls."
He nodded.
"Well, umm it was nice meeting you I've gotta get ready to sing." I Waved walking to the stage.
I heard the Piano.

10 mins later.

I stood up at the mic, singing.

"Pass me not, oh gentle sav- savior...here my humble cry. While on others thou art calling please don't pass me by."

Soon the choir stood up singing with me.
When we finished the song it was time for the actual bible study part.

After bible study

Everyone was headed towards the back to the kitchen we here refreshments were.

Then I seen Lynnette with jeans and a hoodie on.
I looked the other way. I don't need no drama tonight , everything is good right now .
I'm kept turning my head everywhere looking for Ciara or Eric.

I finally seen Ciara.
"Ciara! Cmere."

She rushed over out of breath.
"Yes ma'am? "
"I'm gonna be outside at the car waiting for you guys."

I pointed towards the door, she nodded and I walked out.

About 15 mins later here comes Eric.
"Hey sweetheart, what you doing over here ? A few people wanted to conversate."

"Oh I'm sorry sweetie I didn't wanna be bombarded with trouble tonight. You know who I mean.."
He nodded let's go.
Ciara came running out saying goodbye to Richie.

"CMON."

We got in the car and drove to Buddy Freddy's.

At dinner

Ciara's phone kept buzzing like it was nobody's business.
I finally said.
"Turn that off child... who that Richie?"
She shook her head yeah.

Do I look like I was born lastnight? I know that is not Richie, whoever that is wants some attention honey.
