"They have gone to the open space now thakurain", Malti informed the old lady who was lost in her hookah completely.
" Sher Singh show them the arrangements for the stay of people", Bhanu Pratap ordered.
"Yes Sahib", his servant replied.
Bhanu strolled in the garden as Sher Singh took the delegates to the building adjacent to the palace. They had built it recently for the convenience of the guests, visitors and tourists. Haasilgarh was known to attract attention owing to the fame that the previous generations had brought to the place. The royals were generous, friendly and maintained good relations with their foreign counterparts. The best part was their hospitality. They observed a rule that no one went without proper welcome and food. Organizing luncheons and dinners was their favourite work. The new building was built with the same motive of providing proper accommodation to those who came to study and meet the royals.
As they returned after looking at the arrangements Bhanu Pratap proposed them to have a dinner. The old lady Smt.Tara Thakur accompanied them on the table. After the death of her husband and son she took the place of the first chair on the table. It was a rule that till she didn't arrive no one was allowed to take a seat. Seasons changed but rule remained rule even if guests came.
The dinner comprised mainly of Rajasthani Thali. The menu included Goond ki ladoo, Baati, Moong dal, Bajiri ki roti, Makkai ki roti, Panchmel ki sabzi, Dhana wadi/ mung wadi, coriander leaves curry, Gatte ki kadhi with rice, Matta/ Boondi chaas, Kesar malai lassi.

As they began their dinner a special plate of chillies was brought to Thakurain by Bhanu's wife Kavita. The old lady as fond of hookah also liked spices and chillies in particular. The old lady was eating when she saw a pair of eyes looking at her amusingly. Tara took a chilli in her hand and gestured at Deniz to which the latter nodded.Deniz imitated Tara and took a bite of chilli which really didn't set well with her. The green chilli taste made her jump in her chair.
"çok baharatlı" (very spicy), Deniz screamed.
" What's that?", Bhanu enquired.
"Must be very spicy", Kavita figured it out from her reaction and offered her water and sweets.
" She's posted in the last week itself. I guess she didn't have any idea that Indian food as well as chillies were too spicy", Paul told calmly.
Malti and Sunaina watched the firangan amusingly.
"Don't eat chillies or anything spicy. You'll get acidity. Its not good in this condition.", Arifa told Duha as the latter was about to plunge on a dish of spicy Mix Veg.
Duha gave up the idea of all the flavours.
"See how much they care about guests and the family members are treated garbage", Sunaina cribbed.
" Sshhhh", Malti silenced her.
"Why? Did they even tried to trace her? They were about to kill her with the child", Sunaina continued.
" Will you just shut up?", Malti begged her.
"Kyun Mirchi lagti hai?" (Why? The words hurt?) , Sunaina eyed her colleague scornfully.
