*Scarlett's P.O.V.*
"Scarlett Rose?" One of the police officers called out.
I stuck my hand out of the cell I was in. "Here."
He unlocked my cell an let me out. "Come with me." He grabbed my wrist roughly.
"A please would've been nice." I scoffed.
He attached handcuffs to my wrists.
"You have to talk to detective Payne again today."
I smirked. Oh, yay. I'll have a bit more fun with him this time.
***
The police officer guided me to detective Payne's office. He took the handcuffs off and guided me in the room. He walked out and closed the door.
I looked at detective Payne and smiled. He looked pretty nervous. I sat in my seat across from him.
"Morning, Payne." I smirked.
"Hello, Scarlett. Lets just get on with this session, alright?"
"Alright." I crossed my legs and got comfortable.
"Okay. So, the police did some investigating and they found no bullet holes in your husband. Care to explain?"
Guess I didn't think that one through enough.
I laughed. "You actually believed that story?"
His eyes widened.
"You mean you made up that whole story?" He seemed surprised.
I nodded. "Yes, babe."
He groaned and rubbed the bridge of his nose with his index finger and thumb.
"Can you please be a bit more straightforward with me?"
I paused.
"Maybe."
He laughed an irritated laugh.
"For gods sake." He mumbled under his breath.
I decided I would play around with him. I leaned in close to him, close enough to kiss, and pulled his tie out of his vest.
His eyes widened as he watched me intently. I giggled and bit my lip.
I pulled him by his tie closer to me as I leaned in and slowly kissed him. It took him a few seconds, but he pushed away.
"Excuse me, but isn't this a little inappropriate?" He coughed out nervously.
I laughed.
"I don't know, is it?"
He stopped and just glared at me.
"Please be a little less trouble today, Miss Rose."
I laughed. "Isn't it a little late for that, Liam?" I noticed that his name plate said 'Detective Liam Payne', so I gave it a shot.
"Please, don't call me Liam."
"Why? Is that not your name?" I smiled.
"Scarlett, please, just cooperate."
He seemed very stressed. I must be doing something right.
"Fine. Lets get on with this, then." I scoffed.
"Fine. What really happened, then? How did your husband and this 'Mary' girl die?"
"Alright, do you want to know the real story?"
"Yes! Please, by all means tell me the real story!" He laughed.
I smiled. I pulled my cigarette holder and a cigarette out of my purse, along with a match.
I lit the cigarette and started smoking it.
"Here's what happened. Robert really did cheat on me, I just didn't shoot him or Mary." I started.
"Wait, before I let you finish, non of the officers found a dead woman. So, where is this so called 'Mary'?"
"Exactly. I disposed of Mary's body before the police got involved. I was about to get rid of Roberts body when one my neighbors called the cops for 'suspicious activity'" I rolled my eyes.
"How did you dispose of Mary's body?"
"I dumped her body in a river, of course. How else would you dispose of a dead body?"
"Do you happen to know what river you dumped the body in?" He had his pen ready to write something.
I laughed. "Now, why would I tell you that? I'm not that dumb."
He nodded "Fair enough."
I took a drag of my cigarette.
"So how did you actually kill them?" He asked.
"I slit their throats. I also stabbed them in the stomach to make sure they were dead." I paused. "Plus, it's fun to stab people." I whispered.
Liam seemed disturbed. His face drained of color, and he looked as if he could vomit at any second.
"Alright, I think that's enough for today Scarlett. Thank you for answering my questions." He nervously choked out.
"My pleasure, Liam." I smiled.
Liam looked like he was going to say something about me addressing him by his first name, but let it go.
I stood and walked over to him. I pulled him up by his tie, which was still untucked from his vest. I kissed him slowly and gently bit his lip. I pulled away and smiled at him.
"I hope we get to talk again soon."
Liam looked flustered and nodded.
"Goodbye, Liam."
He said nothing as I walked out, being escorted by the officers outside of the door.
That was quite a bit of fun.

A/N: Sorry I took so long to update, Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff got in the way. I'm really, really, r e a l l y disappointed in this chapter. This fanfic is a lot harder to write than it seemed. So, bear with me here :) Oh, and I'd like to thank Joya for the title of this book and my other friends who helped me make the final decision for the title (You know who you are :) thanks again).
