"What do mean you can't go?" Zane said as he jumped in surprise.
"I MEAN I can't go. I wanna spend some time with Aaron." Aphmau said, locking arms with Aaron. "Just ask Kawaii~Chan to go with you."
"NO! She'll just drag me everywhere and force me to do synchronized dancing with her!"
"Well just go by yourself!"
"F-Fine...but don't expect me to get you any merch..."
"What was that?"
"Nothing. Mwahaha..." Zane said, running out of the house to his car on his way to a hotel.
----INSERT FASTER CAR HERE BC ITS LIFE----
Zane put on his Pinkie Cake cosplay and went to Bronycon.
"Wow! Now this is what I'm talking about!" He exclaimed twirling at the sight of it all. Then his eyes landed on a booth for plushies of all the characters. But what caught his attention, was a very chibi Pinkie Cake plushie on display.
Must...have...Pinkie Cake...
He rushed over to the long long long line. He was probably the 37th person in line. (Idk how these things work :P) After an hour, he was the 7th person in line. One guy even bought the WHOLE CAST of ponies.
"Ugh! What does a guy got to do to get some ponies around here!" He exclaimed, maybe a little to loudly.
"Don't forget about us girls." Zane turned around to the source of the voice, only to meet face-to-face with Star Dash. Well...a girl cosplaying as Star Dash.
"Yeah, well...I suppose the show was meant for girls at the time. But it's really evolved." The girl laughed.
"I'll say. It's so great for not just girls, but guys liking this awesome show. It's really amazing." She agreed, Zane nodding in agreement. "Name's Jay." Jay said, holding out her hand for a handshake. Zane stared at her gesture intently, not knowing whether to shake it, hold it, or high five it. It took him a few moments, but he finally shook her hand.
"Zane."
There was silence.
"I must say, your Pinkie Cake cosplay is PRETTY impressive." Jay said, looking at the pink pony he dressed up as.
"I could say the same about your Star Dash costume." Zane gazed at the wings attached on her back.
"Hey bro?" The person running the booth said. Zane was next in line. He scrambled to the front where he could buy it.
"I'll buy one Pinkie Cake plush please." Zane said, taking out his money.
"Sorry bro. We're out of her." These were the last words Zane expected to hear today.
"WHAT ABOUT THAT ONE ON DISPLAY?" Let's just say Zane is loud when he's mad.
"It's ONLY for display."
"THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!" He storms off, out of line.
"Next!" Jay steps up.
"One Star Das-" She looks at the new friend she just made, slumping to the panel in sadness. "Actually, give me that Pinkie Cake." She said a little sternly to the guy.
"Look, I told that guy-" Jay slipped a few extra bucks with the money for the pony, earning the guy's attention.
"You speak my language." The guy took the Pinkie off of the display, handing it to her.
"Now spend that Monopoly money wisely." Jay said, starting to run away.
"YOU LITTLE-" The guy cut himself off, realizing there were more people in line willing to pay ACTUAL money. Jay, went to find the sad brony walking around. She finally spotted him in a chair in the panel, she took an empty seat next to him.
"Hey. That guy was a little unfair back there." He slumped in his chair.
"Yeah..." He mumbled, looking away. Jay revealed the adorable plush behind her back, handing it to him. He looked at it in utter shock.
"How did you-"
"I bribed the guy with a few extra bucks, that is...monopoly bucks." She started to laugh, earning a (slightly evil) laugh from Zane.
"Clever and evil, my type of person." You couldn't see it, but you could hear a smile in his voice. "T-Thank you." He reached for the plush, accidentally touching her fingertips. He blushed, he hoped she didn't notice.
"What are bronies for?" She said, blushing as well.
After a while, the hung out, and the next few days, they became closer friends, they talked about problems, friends, and even exchanged phone numbers. Jay also said that she just moved here and was moving to MyStreet. Zane told her he lived there too and both got excited.
TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY MY BFFS
Aphmau came over to the new neighbor's house, wanting to meet whoever it was. The doorbell rang. The door opened.
"Hey there! I'm Aphmau, your new neighbor! Welcome to MyStreet!" Aphmau said with her cheery voice.
"Oh hi! I'm Jay. Hey, um...Zane? Is this the Aphmau you were talking about?" Jay asked the male who was helping her unpack.
"ZANE?!" She asked in surprise.
"Oh. Yes she is."
"Your description of her was so on point!"
"What did...you say about me?"
"Oh. He just told me that you are the most optimistic person he's ever met!"
"Heh. Well, it's basically true."
"Wait wait wait. How do you two know each other?" Aphmau said, confused.
"We met at BronyCon." The two said in unison, blushing afterwards. Aphmau noticed this and made a mental note not to tell Kawaii~Chan about this new ship.
"Well that's good. Hey, I'm hosting a party tonight. Wanna come? You can meet all my friends here!"
"Um...ok...meeting new people would be good...I guess..." Jay rubbed her elbow awkwardly.
"APHMAU~SENPAI!! I FEEL A GREAT DISTURBANCE IN THE SHIPS!!" They could all hear Kawaii~Chan in the distance.
"Ah! SHE FOUND ME!!" Aphmau ran off in a hurry.
"Anyways Zane, thanks for helping me unpack, it's really sweet of you." Jay smiled brightly.
"Heh well, just don't tell the others." He chuckled.
"I guess I'll see you at the party then?"
"Of course, I'll be there to protect you from Travis."
"Who?"
"You'll see." You heard his famous evil chuckle.
