I wish I could say my life as changed a lot since last year but it as not. Because of all the things that happened during this crazy year, I didn't graduate from high school and I had to go back.

Donna and Tessa were still away and I think there were no chance of them moving back here. My aunt didn't left us, Finn and I, on our own without any directions, without any advices. She called the school and after a fight with the director, she managed to get what she - what I wanted : I don't have to go to school everyday but I have to turn up for every big exam. During most of my free time  I had a job at a diner downtown and Finn was still working at the garage but he had to work extra hour to help me pay the bills. Life was pretty much the same as it used to be except I had less friends. I hadn't talk to Roman ever since the "incident" and I had no idea what he was doing with his life but I was sure he was fine. I was still a bit angry at Peter for skipping town without saying anything to anyone. But the fact that my anger was fading away was the proof I missed him even more.

On Monday morning, Destiny asked if I could give her a lift to the diner and obviously I accepted. I had to work too but I did find it kind of odd.

All day she acted weird and at the end of my shift she told me " I'm sorry for what is about to happen."

I've tried to ask her what she was talking about but she didn't say anything.

When I went home I had a bad feeling and I was right. As I was coming out of the shower, I heard a knock on the door. I already had put on my pants and I just had to put on a tee shirt. I quickly went to the door and dried my hair on the way  but when I opened it, I almost dropped my towel. Peter was there. After all that time he just shows up on my doorstep.

"Hi" was all he said. I knew how dumb I must've look, looking at him as if I've seen a ghost but I honestly didn't care. Millions of questions went through my head.

"Can I come in or is it a bad time ?" He carried on. I stepped aside and let him in.

He sat down and I proposed something to drink.

"It's kind of empty around here ... Where's your aunt ?" He genuinely asked.

I wasn't in the mood for small talk and cut through the chase

"Why are you back ? No better, why did you leave ? Why did you leave us when we needed you the most ?" I had to get that off my chest.

"Rose ... It was too hard and -"

" And it wasn't hard for us ? You just left, you didn't say anything, you just left. Did you think , even for a second,  about us ?"

"My mom's jail. That's why I'm back."

"How much do you need ?"

"Wait, how did you know it was about money ?"

"Because you're back for your mom, not us. So obviously  you need money, how much ?" I was hurt but he didn't need to know that.

"20,000 .."

" I don't even have half of this for the house ..." I muttered, a bit shocked by the huge amount he needed.

"It was a mistake ... I shoudn't have come here, I've got no right to ask you this Rose, I'm sorry"

"Listen Peter, I'm still pissed off about the all thing. I'm even more pissed just thinking you're probably going to leave again after you get what you want. But I have to help. I can't let you in this situation. It's not fair for Linda." I looked inside the cookie's jar I keep hidden in the kitchen and gave Peter some cash that I had.

"It's not much ... But beggars can't be choosers. 500 dollars is better than nothing and it's all I have."

He took the money and kept thanking me. " It's still better than Roman."

My heart skipped a beat just hearing his name.

"You went to see Roman ?" Before he had any chance to respond, Finn came back. He looked suspiciously at Peter and nodded in my direction. I'll have to deal with him later.

"Yeah I went to his new apartment. He was pretty furious and told me to get out." Typical Roman  "He'll probably call you to explain everything."

"I doubt that."

"You don't talk to Roman ?"

"Why do you care ? You'll be out of our life once again in a couple of month at most."

Peter took that as his cue to leave and thanked me again.

As I closed the front door behind him, I knew troubles and madness had find me again.
