Taylor looked out the window on the subway. She scoffed, her hot breath steaming on the frosted window as she pulled her coat tighter around her, her dark hair pushed against her neck. "Pointless." She said. "Why put windows on underground transportation?" She looked around, there weren't many people on the subway at 11 o'clock. She wouldn't have been on the subway either if her boss hadn't had woke her up with an angry phone call. She sighed as the subway stopped for a couple people. A tall, handsome man with short dark, red hair walked up to her seat. He couldn't have been shorter than six foot, making her 5"3 posture seem even smaller. "Is this seat taken? He asked in a smooth voice, his hazel eyes meeting her green ones. " N-No go ahead." She said, her face turning red as he sat down. He ran his fingers through his Nhair. "I'm Simon Iveil." He said, holding out a hand. "Taylor Deven." She said, taking it. "What are you doing out at a time like this?" He asked. "Late night work call." She said with sigh. "You?" "I had plans but my friends canceled on me." He said. "Ouch." She said empathetically. At that moment the subway jerked to a stop and the lights went out, the doors sliding open. She saw Simon's eyes turn a deep red as he reached his hand in her pocket and grabbed her wallet before she had a chance to react. "Well, I'll be taking my leave, Taylor Deven." He said, chuckling. Then he was gone and the lights turned back on. The doors closed and the subway resumed, leaving Taylor Deven shocked and walletless and Simon Iveil to do what he pleased as he disappeared into the night.
