imagine your OTP.
They live in the same apartment block but they've never really crossed paths before. One of them is all business and late for work, and they're pretty sure they left their keys on the side before shutting the door but they don't have time to worry about it. They rush to the elevator.
The other is an artist, on the way to pick up some... art stuff. Paint. Pencils. Whatever artists use.
They practically run into each other as they reach the elevator, and do the polite I-don't-know-you nod.
The elevator arrives and they get in. They can be the only two people in there, or it could be crowded af, it doesn't really matter.
Until, as the doors slide shut, one of them hiccups. Looks around, embarrassed, hoping no-one heard. But the other one did. They hiccup again. It's one of those full body hiccups which makes you look really daft. The other one starts to smile, and covers their mouth with their hand to mask it.
Another hiccup. A snuffle of a giggle.
Another hiccup.
Another hiccup.
Finally, they reach the ground floor. Both of them are red, one from trying to contain the hiccups, the other from trying not to burst out laughing.
The doors slide open, and the hiccuper makes a hasty exit. The giggler follows, and grabs their arm.
"You know, I heard kissing is a good way to get rid of hiccups."
"I'm not going to kiss you, I don't even know you."
"Then let me buy you dinner? You're cute when you blush."
*hic*
And that's how it starts.
